I agree with you - I'm liking this version better.

An inset liner instead of a straight sandwich would go a long way

My thoughts exactly. Especially when microtech is doing it on multiple models for less

I’ve always loved this design. Perfect blade shape and length. Looks cool but yeah I was really turned off by the new pricing they have. Wonder if a g10 model might be even lower. $250ish range. Good video bro.

This version is better than the initial magnacut release.

Ha, imagine my surprise when I saw this video pop up in my feed. 😄 I think this version is pretty sweet. I wasn't digging the raw look at first, but coupled with the FDE blade/clip/collar, I think it's actually pretty sharp. I still like the LE version the most, but I'd swap the clip for the FDE one for some matchy-matchy accents with the blade. I'll wait for a more reasonably priced one on the secondary, though. And I've already seen a few. Overall I'm a big fan of the profile in general and the blade is very utilitarian looking. Zach's Stuff did a breakdown video (and I'm sure there are a bunch more out there) but the new leaf-spring style omega springs nested in the liner seems like a really nice upgrade and is apparently a heck of a lot more durable, as it should be. The lock bar 'studs' are much better designed, too, with the ramps to aid in releasing the lock. I'm guessing they could have made this update some time ago, but timing it with the re-release of the 710 is good marketing you can't pass up. Pricey knife, but getting a LNIB one for 75% of the retail price seems like the way to go. Look forward to hearing more after you get more time with it man!

Thanks for that, bro. I heard about the redesign of the springs, so I'll have to look it up.

Timeless design and fantastic blade. The details could have been updated. Pricing as always is curious, but the market sorts it.

I don’t think the price was great. Much better but still probably not good. Liners on a $400+ knife seems off to me. That’s probably due to the locking mechanism design though. I think if they could get this price down in the ballpark of aluminum microtech prices they would sell a boatload of them. I would be happier if it was $325-$350.

Anyone crazy enough to spend $400 on a BM should just track down a 760, 761, 425, 630 or 757. Even if none of those fit personal preferences, you'd have to be pretty foolish to argue that this is the same amount of knife for the money.

Having it in hand, I have to admit it's pretty good bro. It's not a 200 knife. But it's also not a 400 one

The tabs on the bar keep it straight so there's still pressure on both springs close to even. You're just repeating fake news
