The Benchmade Adira stepping up their packaging for the product providing a very good first impression especially coming into a new market for the fishing and marine hobby. If you like the Benchmade Nakamura with less chance of it doing the Emerson Wave out of your pocket this might even be your EDC option in Magnacut.

Out of all the many knives I own, I have yet to add a Benchmade to the lineup. The Adira is the first Benchmade that I've really wanted.

May be doing yourself a bit of a disservice.. I know, I hear all the Benchmade hate, and some may be warranted. I'm a Spyderco guy through and through, but all the Benchmade knives I own are outstanding, I think they get judged a bit harshly at times and alot of people just like to pile on over hearsay. If you like this model, I think you should try it, or not. You'll be fine either way, just my cent and a half

@Shanes_Sharp_Sheet for me, among a confluence of objections, the main has been their pricing. It just seems out of step, even with other American manufacturers. That said, I'm settled on getting the Adira regardless. So far Spyderco has had no production competition ( that I know of ) for their Salt series and it's a good thing for all of us that they finally have some. I figure I'll support the pressure of competition on corrosion resistant folders.

@PoetFisherman nice! Hope it goes well for you 🙏 I agree with you on pricing for the most part, I also believe that they don't stay connected to their customer base like they should. But we could go back and fourth for days, I just really really appreciate that you are willing to find out for yourself and actually get the knife, then form your opinions. To many people out there, form opinions based on who knows what lol! Will be curious what you think after awhile. Good luck!

The Adira is my EDC knife. No clue why it does not get more love.

I didn't take a second look at it prior to checking it out. Might be from the advertising as being a water knife.

Had to sand the inside edge of a fake Redoubt because when I flick it open with my middle finger on backside thumb stud, it scratched the blade. Wondering if I'll have to do that for the real one when I get one. This as well.

Don't have a Redoubt, this model is a nice one and didn't see any blade contact.

Good blade comparison. I thought it looks similar to the Griptilian blade but the Nakamura is much closer. I wonder if the Nakamura blade was inspired by the Grip? I want one of the full size Adiras a LOT but I know as soon as I get one, I'm gonna want the mini as soon as I get the full size. It was gonna be my next knife but now the custom Griptilian just came back so one {or two or three lol} of those will be my next knife but I'll be getting the pair of Adiras before too long.

Nice yeah it's a winner the custom Griptillian is with Death Grip Scales. I'm not sure as the Griptillian is one that has been around longer, so not sure if it takes inspiration from that shape or not. Either way you won't go wrong.
