You can send your benchmades to me. I'm not happy about it either, but the fact that the owners (not the company) gave some money to anti 2a politicians doesnt change the fact that the knives are good, and american made and sourced. Also, I'll guess you're writing your comment from either an apple, Microsoft, or samsung product, all of which have given 100s of thousands or millions to anti 2a politicians, which is the height of hypocrisy. If you're boycotting, at least be consistent and get rid of everything from China too... they are a communist anti gun regime. And as for the thumbs down... thanks👍 all interaction helps promote the video. Also, to *attempt* to punish a content creator for a company you dont like... wow. Sounds like a snowflake move to me.

You have some of the best reviews. I love that you really use your knives. I can think of multiple KZbin reviewers who openly admit that they only really cut paper and cardboard. Then they talk about whether a knife is hard use or not. You can’t talk about hard use if you don’t do any hard use!

I have all couple of the Bugouts. Though the stock scales are fine, I installed Flytanium G10 scales on one. I recommend leaving the screws slightly loose until you get the pivot back in place, as you will need the wiggle room . Also, make note of the orientation of the pivot flat side to get the D shaped pivot back in.

A knife costing that much should not need all that fiddling or adjustments. Obviously overpriced.

@@SubUrbanNinja-EDC The extra effort is with the modifications; left stock, the Benchmade Bugout is fine.

@@ScottieG59 I am sure Benchmade is a very fine product. But I think they are overpriced. I can see if they were using titanium frames and carbon fiber scales but what it looks like and the material....$160 is way too much for a entry level knife. The bugout should be priced at $80 max. $100 for upgraded scales and coatings.
@booya64373 жыл бұрын
@@SubUrbanNinja-EDC The Bugout could definitely be considered overpriced but I found mine on Bladehq for $100 so not too bad. Only thing I’ve done to it is replaced the crap stock springs with afternarket ones and haven’t had an issue since.
@chimchu32322 жыл бұрын
@@ScottieG59 right there with ya. Threw the g10 crossfade scales on it with a backspacer, and the knife is rock solid. Couldn't be happier with it, completely worth the money to me. Yeah, you could consider it overpriced for what it is, but find me another mid size pocket knife that weighs less than 2 ounces and holds up to hard use.

My bug out has gotten so gritty and the lock is so ridiculously stick even after I took it apart and cleaned it. So I decided to buy another one and low and behold it happened again with the new bugout
@evictioncarpentry26285 жыл бұрын
Had the same issue with gritty opening. It was the back of the blade wearing into the titanium axis bar. Once it wore through the coating it's smooth as any other. I did email BM about it and they sent me a new axis bar if I need, but it figured itself out.

I personally prefer the 940 over everything. Its the best EDC blade out there IMO. If you're torn between the two, grab the 940, esp since you tend to be rough. The bugout would be fine I'm sure, but the thicker steel and grind in the 940 gives some extra insurance

That's not really the case, but I know that's what is running around the interwebs these days. It was some of the employees/ owner of the company that donated. The company itself gave $0. RevHiker thanks for the clarification, and I understand it would be almost impossible to boycott every company that doesn't agree with an individual's politics and I agree that benchmade puts out a quality product but at the same time I don't think you can separate the company from the owner same reason I had to dump Netflix the day I found out they put the obamas on the payroll jmho though have always enjoyed your channel and your conviction of standing for what you believe
