my dad gave me his benchmade 9700(?) auto knife with a broken spring and i finally got a replacement! .50 coil is what you need! but i’m so excited to rebuild this ive watched my dad use it for YEARS! this will help me a lot even tho it’s slightly different!

I carried one of these for a decade as my daily carry, if benchmade still made them I'd be carrying one now

It's amazing at how really simple these are. That's why I love these kind of Benchmades. Stupid they discontinued them. BMs like this one, or the AFO, just full aluminum tanks. For an auto, they are not hard to piece back together. I think easier than a axis lock.

Would this be the same as a 5700 auto,having hard time putting mine back together.

Ryu Kenway we did not measure the spring while servicing the knife.
