Benchmarking the performance of hydrostatic pumps

At the Scandinavian International Conference on Fluid Power virtually held in Linköping, Sweden, on June 1&2, 2021, Robin Mommers of Innas BV presented results of benchmark tests of several hydraulic pumps. Pumps were tested at a large speed range including at very low speed. Tested pump types include axial piston, external gear, internal gear, radial piston and Floating Cup pumps. The results are discussed with a special focus on speed controlled electro-hydraulic applications.
