I was in a pickup group with a guy who was a midmajor D1 starter and did a few years overseas, 0 NBA minutes, and he was playing at 30%, anytime he turned it up higher he'd just smoke us all. The rest of us weren't slouches either, these guys are really on another planet.

@BLT1967too
@BLT1967too Жыл бұрын
Yeah I really hate that call. A grandma (or granny) shot is just an underhand shot. This is a two-tenths-of-a-second tap to beat the shot clock buzzer. It deserved way better than that weak call.
@MoralesCorner
@MoralesCorner 8 ай бұрын
Fr that shot was impressive, just to have the awareness of where the basket is and touch the ball with the tip of your fingers like a volleyball over your head with one second left on the clock. Yeah it was a lucky shot but he wanted to do exactly that and I bet most of this guys could get a shot like this made fairly often when they're just playing around in practice
@tankinator451
@tankinator451 13 күн бұрын
It's unironically one of the most high skilled shots in NBA history. You have to have so much game sense to know exactly how far from the basket you are and exactly how much force to put on the ball in the tenth of a second it touches your hands to get even remotely close to the basket, let alone sinking the shot.
@Oak_Rocket

Man people don't understand how good 98% of the NBA is at playing basketball. It's just a lot of times guys have to play their role on the team it doesn't matter how much you kill in practice or in the little time you do get. It's a lot of guys on benches across the NBA who could go to a different situation with more opportunity and average 20+. Look at Cam Thomas last year, they unleashed him for a little bit and he was looking like Dame out there lmao.
