@@garycockbain6506 That is true for some riders, but not all. Many riders still like to do a big loop on singletrack and are not into bike park or enduro-style trails. Still a place for them,

Not a massive fan of trail centres but did the beast back in October which wasn’t bad at all except a few fire road drags.tarw du y slab section was a great addition aswell.👍

It’s a cracking trail with your mates for sure. Did it with a few what you would call “Pongo’s” and I would call real soldiers a few years ago and had a mint laugh with the lads. Did Penmachno the day after and then Snowdon.

I was there a few weeks ago , there’s a lot of stuff in that forest man! The pedal strikes were relentless for me there lol 😂 if I had a eeb that would be the way to go.

Start on the mbr you get so far round then you can veer off climb up a fire road straight to the start of the full adams family sections starting with mortisher then finish with the beginning of the end. This is the best loop i found the adams family sections are the best bits there. Dragons back tarw mar the beast all of them just have excessibe climbing towards the end the start of mbr cutting up into full adams family sections is most enjoyable loop.

Not been to Coed y brenin for years but your video pretty much sums up what I thought :). Enjoyed places like Coed Llandegla more recently. Forest of Dean and Cannock chase are my easy go to's...

The place could probably have been a lot like Dyfi BP if NRW would have allowed it! From what I've seen in certain videos it could be more like a Welsh Squamish!? There's some steep stuff at Betwys. I wish the whole of Wales could get together and become an adventure sports mecca, but with a mixture of levels for all abilities - which it is anyway, but everything is owned/governered by different parties!

Lovely part of the country. Rode it years ago on a motorless bike, wouldn't dream of taking anything but the eeb these days. Mountain biking has changed, dyfi, stiniog, caesws and revs have a greater pull when in north Wales these days.

Rode there a few years ago, was really looking forward to it after starting mtb riding in Afan, was expecting something special above Afan but didn't find anything to shout about, it's a great trail centre, probably a great eeb day out these days, people want quick up and downs, the long peddle days are few and far between. 👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🍻🍻

I'd recommend a trail bike for the trails. Enduro rig will tame it too much.

Definitely a ebike place, in my opinion. Ive done it several times now on a regular bike . An ebike would make those climbs a lot more enjoyable. When you think back to the bikes we were riding & gear ratios ' 26 inch wheels back when it was built must have been brutal.

if you know the forest well there are loads of great local tech trails that are quality you just need to know the right people well worth it if you want tech narly stuff

Not sure what you are doing on this trail, not your type of cup mate :D I personally really enjoy it riding solo, it's one of the nicest single track trails in my experience, especially in summer.

People forget that this place was designed and built in the 90's! If you need an eeb, you're missing the challenge!? Way too overbiked. I took my HT the last time I visited and loved it. Great place 😊

I've always found Coed Y pretty much overrated, really lacks 'memorable' cracking sections. It's a good network with lots of options to mix things up but honestly the best days I've had there have been with my son doing the blue and bike park

Gwydir is better than brenin. Off piste for days and part of the main train are alright. Final 4 is the best finish to any trail centre.

Totally overrated....it's nothing special....lots of better trail centres elsewhere in UK....and of course natural riding in national parks.....for anyone in North of UK it's not worth the massive crappy drive....

Yeah but when it first opened it was a revelation, we had all been riding Bridle tracks full of gates before. Things have moved on, bikes are better and we all see what the commercial bike parks are building and expect that everywhere. I really hope these trails can be brought up to date, or they are tailored to the E biker.

It's not going to build itself. Loads of talk of how trail centres can be so much better. If only people contacted the local trail associations and offer to help and dig. Most people these days can't see further than their phone. Upload clips, strava, and complain about free trails.
