Love my BB Angler Ace paddles!! The blade hook has retrieved lures, captured overboard gear and recently helped me unlock a hooked fish wound around a branch on the bottom!

I studied a lot before buying my kayak the other day. Didn't think too much about paddles. Bought the Ace on a whim because it felt like it weighed half as much as anything else on the rack at the store. Once I felt it vs. the other paddles, there was a world of difference even to my inexperienced self.

Have you tried the Angler Pro carbon? Wondering how it compares to the fiberglass blade of the angler pro? I have a couple werner fiberglass paddles. However after getting my Adventure Technologies AT2 carbon, i never used the werner powerhouse again. There was just too much flutter with the fiberglass blades. Again Chris you are spot on. I've paddle with others and let them use my AT2 or my crankbait. Both carbon blades. They were amazed at the difference. Then they heard the price and gave it back to me. They realized how much better it was, but it was nearly the cost of their boats and they didnt want to invest that kind of money. They sadly dont see the value. Yet for me it makes such a difference. When I got my Big Rig HD and SS127, I searched for carbon bladed paddles. It was hard to find one. I finally found a crank bait paddle. It made such a difference, especially when the Big rig was loaded with saws and gear. Others on my crew saw the difference and loved the paddle, but again were leery of the price. However they had to admit the paddle made such a difference and made my paddling time so much better. I sadly broke the blade of my crank bait when I was pushed into a tree and got it caught. I nearly wanted to cry but I got the life out of it. Im going to try to repair it, but looking to have it as a backup. BTW I absolutely LOVE how you talk to and about your bride. More need to do that and Im sure she appreciates it.
