I love Benedict Cumberbatch's interviews because he always answers the questions so well and really engages with the interviewer which is something you don't often see, and I love how intelligent he is

I love what he says about Turing's first and probably only love.

This is one of the best interviews I've seen with him at TIFF. The Interviewer asked real questions about his work, the making of the film and the process behind the making of this film --and how he feels about Mr. Turing. It seems MANY interviewers seem convinced that every one of Mr. Cumberbatch's fans are teenagers who want to hear the same questions answered over and over--well, MANY of us are mature adults who appreciate the unique talent that he has, and follow him with great respect. Thank you for an interview with a bit of meat in it, rather than just 2/3 empty bag of chips/crisps.

Younger fans appreciate the more in depth questions just as much as you "mature adults" do. What is the stereotype that all teenagers are mindless idiots?
@Tarotiste10 жыл бұрын
I don't really see mature as being a teenager or not be be truthful. I have a 12 year old daughter who is extremely mature. She has moments of being silly, of course, but she is also very capable of thoughtful and intelligent conversation. To me, mature is a way of thinking and behaving. So, if you are not immature-which to me is someone who is never serious, and incapable of seeing the value of intellectual conversation-- then you were in the "mature adult" category I was thinking of. I don't view all teenagers as mindless idiots. There are a lot of them out there. But it's a logical fallacy to view it the other way around and assume that all of them are that way because you have seen some who are. And further, the problem really isn't with the fans, in my opinion. My comment was more directed towards the media and their assumption that-for some reason- the only reason Mr. Cumberbatch's fans follow him are very shallow and silly ones so they only ask very shallow and silly questions.

I am so excited to see this movie. Every time i see the trailer it literally brings tears to my eyes. It's so powerful and moving... And even if Benedict wasn't in this i would still be going to see it because it looks completely flawless.

I just would like to see this movie because it has relation with computers that are so present in our lives today. I see that Benedict Cumberbatch is very tired! I read a report saying that depended on him would stand all day in the studio and that if he is perfectionist. What is this fanaticism now ?

Smart was always sexy, you've just turned into a woman, from a girl. (You may have seen a big shift within the sphere of brainy is the new sexy, just because it's a kind of trend, people like to act smart, it's a trend of the last few years, of course one of the roots of this is the famous; fake glasses act that people do) Nothing has changed with regards to clever being sexy however, I get told by a few of my friends that my cleverness is sexy. It seems to be a Darwinian advantage to be sexual attracted to a smart mate. (To pass on the best coupling of genes possible)

The Anti-Theist Are they turned on by how patronising you are too? I'm paraphrasing Irene Adler's quote. What she said about Sherlock, I said about Benedict Cumberbatch. It's a joke which flew over the top of your clever head!
@TheClassicWorld9 жыл бұрын
graceygrumble Your former statement, was a joke which flew over my head; I'm sorry to say, It did not, you mean the quote "Brainy's the new sexy." you were close though. However, my statement still stands, since many do in fact say "Brainy is the new sexy." You seemed quite defencive in your retort, why, I wonder. haha

graceygrumble In short; I know the quote word for word, you did not, I simply thought you were saying it for real rather than paraphrasing.

Thank you very much for your answer. But, The Imitation Game soundtrack as already been released, and it's not on any track of it. (apologies for my bad english)
@cineplexmovies10 жыл бұрын
Mia Wallace Then I'm afraid it was just used in the trailer. Apologies - didn't realise they didn't use a track from the film itself.
