I just "discovered" her/her music last week. Our local rock station had just played "Immigrant Song"...and went to a commercial break. I hate commercials...so I hit the "next" button on my radio...and it came to a station that my 17-year old daughter had set it to--the local "alt" station. The first few notes of "Supalonely" started playing...and it grabbed me. Luckily, I hit the station just as the intro notes were playing; it it was another commercial, or if the DJ was yammering away introducing the song, I probably would've move on. By the end of the song, I had a "Holy Shit" moment. "Holy Shit--that was a pretty damn good, catchy song!" Came back home...confirmed w/my daughter that it was "Benny"...the song was titled "Supalonely"...and that she's from New Zealand...."Oh yeah, she's "way more chill than BIllie Eilish" (who I'm not really a fan of ). I've KZbind several of Benee's songs--she doesn't have a bad song at all. But I really like Supalonely...and I'm now a fan (and I'm 59 years old!)
