I think your birds are tamed, so they can live together. But my experience is exactly opposite. Aggressive Budgies females always throw out cockatail's chicks to capture their pots.

So Um idk if I'll get a reply or not but I just got a baby budgie who look like its 10-11 days old I'm hand feeding it from 3 days now I got it from a frnd because the other budgies almost killed it and I got it in Time but now the problem is I've always wanted a Cockatiel and I Adore my little fella already so can i keep a hand feeded tame budgie with a cockatiel which is not tamed? I have a couple of months to decide because the budgie is still on hand feed but is it Okay to keep them together?? One cockatiel with one budgie? If yes then opposite gender or the same gender? Pls I have so many questions as I am a beginner and this is my first bird:)

But be careful, because cockatiels are much bigger than budgies, and male cockatiels can sometimes get territorial, causing injury. Also budgies are very brave birds and excellent fighters, if they get angry, your cockatiel could have missing toes or eyes. Also during the breeding season, you should always separate the budgies and cockatiels, as there are good chances that either birds could get severely injured. If a cockatiel gets angry, it might be a budgies last day.

I got my pair of cockatiels 1.5 months back. male and female. they look atleast 6 months old. i give them healthy soft food , fresh water twice a day, minaral blocks and mixed seeds. they are happy and make a few sounds but they have not started singing yet. i am getting impatient looking at your cockatiels singing songs so nicely. When did your cockatiels start singing ?? tell me about ur experience please.

Planning to buy cockatiel in jan . It will be tamed but bird Sellar suggests to keep them away from wild budgies . I am thinking about a separate cage when he will come in January.

@@kamalhossian8164 It's actually the reverse. Parrotlets are smaller than budgies, and therefore, budgies have much more powerful beaks. I am telling you from my experience as I had budgies and really they bite like devils, so they can kill the parrotlet.
