Natapos ko ang masters ko ng 6 years, pero hindi ko sinukuan kasi alam ko yun lang ang mag papaangat sakin, financially at sa career ko. besides, mas madami ka kang malalaman sa field mo, ksi required sa masters (lalo na sa doctoral) na magbasa ng journal at gumawa ng research. pero it is a matter of choice pa din. we have the power mag decide para sa sarili natin, kung saan tayo magiging masaya. At the end of the day, hindi naman pataasan ng pinag aralan ang importante sa buhay, kung hindi gaano ka kasaya ang kakuntento sa buhay mo. Life is too short, gawin mo ang mag bibigay sayo ng saya as long as wala kang ginagawang masama. =)

Yes. Kala mo ang galing mo na pero kapag nasa grad school ka, lalamunin ka pa ng ibang mas magagaling at mas madadaming alam. Ang good side nun is lahat kayo may kanya kanyang alam na di alam ng isa't isa so you learn together. Tas connections na rin. Makakakilala ka ng tao na maaayos sa lahat ng aspect. 😊

I just went back to school for an MBA - not for promotion but for personal development. I want to learn new things, acquire new skills... . Nakakapagod!!! Nakaka-stress! I don't remember school being this exhausting while in law school or reviewing for the bar exams. Take MBA while young!!!

Before, I thought I have the expertise already until I enrolled in my Master's. There, I realized that there are many things that I need to enhance. There are many things about the English language that I can offer to my students. It's just that I don't have access to where to get that. I need to take my Master's degree because I felt the need to develop myself professionally. But here, I don't only learn academically, but I also learn values and wisdom which I think are the essence of taking a Master's degree.

Hi Ma'am. I understand that this video is intended towards Filipinos who intend to pursue their grad studies in the Philippines, and yes a masters degree is indeed necessary prior to going for a PhD. However, there are better options such as studying abroad while on a scholarship. For example here in the US, one can get accepted in a PhD program with just a bachelor's degree plus most students get admitted with a scholarship. So this is definitely a great option for those who are interested in advancing their education and their careers. P.S. Having a Ph.D. does not equate to being a professor after graduation. Lots of Ph.D. grads are in demand in industry where salaries are even much higher!

Hi prof. I have no confidence to myself and my self-esteem drastically drops for over years. My minds were actually been set in pursuing graduate courses pero yung anxiety ko prof na parang natatakot ako sa failures (kasi I am always failed at dahil na rin sa psychological factors mula pa noong bata pa ako kasi dina-discourage ako always sa mga academics at iba pang fields) but I am eager to learn. ;'/ Pagkapanood ko nito, mas na-inspire ako ulit. ^^ Thank you prof. ^^

Finished my masters degree in business last august lang and promotion was already provided in just a few months and the employment landscape did change agad when i update my CV, and although hardwork did really plays an important part, yung degree is really appreciated talaga and worth tons. Best for advances in learning but not for promotion. Mas priority pa rin ang mga interior applicants kalag promotion kahit na may masters ka over sa kanila na walang masters pero matagal nang empleyado on that service.
