I'm glad Dana is in charge. All the stuff I hate about boxing everyone wants to put in mma. Tons of different weight classes will be stupid. You will have 1 guy with like 3 belts. And why does every fighter want to do a boxing match. The whole reason mma took off is because boxing sucks. It's boring, barley any knockouts. And 1 guy fights every 2 to 3 years because they make 20 mill and don't have to fight again until they start going broke like Floyd.

The 165 thing is dumb lol. You’d have to get rid of 170. And change it to 175 and then add a 195 and probably a 215 and 225.. such a massive change up is too much. Idk why the 165 number is what you’re hung up on when there’s a 60 pound difference between light heavy and heavyweight. If any new weight class should be made under the current system it should be a 235 “heavyweight” division and then change the 265 to super heavyweight.

You making it complicated for no reason just make welterweight 175 nothing else changes and make 165 a new weight class anyone can join it or sign new fighters to compete there thats it nothing else needs to be done. Theres already a small amount of heavyweights so that will never happen unless the nfl and nba disappear and those guys become mma fighters
