yes but in 1950's these were the only machines ppl have to race with, and customers heavily modified their bikes in order to improve speed. Be aware that "slow" motorcicles (even this two) can be improved a lot just by moderate engine tweaks

We should start a 'Me too ' campaign for low quality RE bike victims. I have RE CLASSIC CHROME 500. Its tank is full of rust I lost my pumb and then I had to change my tank later.The total cost for both the pumb and tank came arround 30,000/-.

In Malaysia RE 40% more expensive than Benelli imperial. The sound for me RE is more classic. I rent RE bike from Delhi to manali, Khardungla Jammu and back to Delhi. Ist very low power but enjoy the ride. Imperial just test riding in Malaysia overall is good but soud i dont like because not classic.

Being a classic gunmetal grey owner I would say that the bike is actually nice but vibration is the most annoying thing when you ride it in low rpms but midrange and topend is actually very strong and sturdy but royal enfield says they will be coming with whole new bullet with bs6 norms and says it will be faster let's see that but in this race I would say that classic could have been revved a bit more to get the most from it.nice video thumbs up.

If one goes by RE's ways, they would change only as much as is required by regulations, rest of the bike will be just as shitty as now. While other bikes have moved on to give fuel injection, RE does not even provide fuel gauge on its bikes, implying that retro means featureless !! Typical Indian bike manufacturers mentality of insulting the customer by giving what the company thinks customers deserve and not what the customers actually want.

@@sachinmali74 they messed up with new classic 350 which is currently selling since 2009 after having its UCE engine it's reliable compared to old bullet CI engine and effecient as well but it's a vibrating crap bkz old bullet don't have vibration and it has even taller gear ratio from its 17t sprocket compared to current 15-16 t model and the old bullet 4 speed gearbox effortlessly takes it to 140 kmph speed.the 0-60 is better in classic due to short gear ratio but 0-100 it just cannot keep up with old bullet bkz timing difference is huge ,the classic does it in 14 sec if you properly drive it but old bullet does it in just 9 secs when it's engine is sufficiently warm so huge difference in performance.i would honestly tell you that why I bought a classic bkz of its timeless design and metal body structure.

RE buit quality is not good . Being a classic 500 chrome owner my money went down the drain.Paint began stripping off my petrol tank interior which blocked my pumb. Eventually my pumb was damaged and I had to change the pumb. But after few months problems came back. Then I had to change the tank, which was then again a painted tank as well. The total cost was arround 30,000/-. The bike has only 30 mileage. Not to mention the maintenance cost.

@@romanodaniel9798 Hello Romano, I bought it in Granada at JMoto, which is more of a boutique than a dealership. I sent it back because there was an engine noise I wasn´t happy about, like noisy tappets, but the salesman told me it was normal. It is still there at 1,500 k but no worse. That´s the only downside, the bike handles really well at low speed in the steep narrow streets of Lanjarón, and on the open road it is comfortable and secure. It has plenty of power for climbing, and the brakes are excellent. I´m 6ft 2ins and the bike fits me nicely. The finish is very good. Videos on KZbin seem to confirm that there is a lot of mechanical noise from the engine, so I´m not really worried, and have no regrets about buying the bike. You´ll need a test ride, but if the performance suits you I would recommend the bike.
