Lovely guitar man, superb clarity and projection! Interesting, as I'm yet to play a Walnut guitar that I've liked, including guitars over £10,000 (I won't name names). I played a really nice Beneteau OM in Sitka in Padauk which I liked a lot, unfortunately the neck was huge for me!

James Bartholomew I would love to play one of his OM’s. Every single guitar I’ve played from him - Concert Standard, Model M, and SJ variations - have been just absurdly clear and loud, with the ideal neck profile for me. I didn’t actually pick Walnut 100% for its tone, I’ve always had a love for the wood itself as my dad was a woodworker and I love the smell and looks of it. I knew Marc would make any tonewood sound great and in his words it’s closer to mahogany but more focused. Allows the top’s tone to translate clearly, and Alpine is my favorite top wood!

Put any mic in front of that guitar in any given room it is going to sound amazing because those guitars from Marc are simply the best money can buy. Great, you are really lucky, lucky to have two Beneteau guitars.

I heartily congratulate you !!! I think walnut shows guitar tone most frankly & woody... in particular, they shows greatest advantage in arpeggio type thing. the balance of each note is also unsurpassed & matches the character of marc beneteau...I also plan to order marc's guitar soon ~ ( sj ff - maple & euro spruce / 655~635mm ; medium gauge / wide nut & saddle with pinless bridge )

안지환 that sounds like it’d be a great choice. My sj has definitely changed in tonal character (and for the better!) since I got it! It’s at its happiest with medium strings, tuned down a whole step or in DADGAD. Working with Marc was a breeze and he wasn’t shy to offer creative ideas like the walnut neck, which was really nice.
