I own the osmo 3 and just pre ordered the osmo 6. The buttons are an over due feature instead of using the app to switch modes. It would be great if they added a tactile feature to the zoom wheel 1× 2x So you know when you’ve reached critical zoom points. I can see myself over zooming with that wheel

Thanks! The extension pole has to be pulled out manually. There is no button, simply grab the gimbal by the pan motor and pull up.

Hey I’m just curious how do you get the DJI 6 to connect to regular camera rather than the apps camera? Ive seen you use the trigger to lock tracking and I can only do that one the Mimo app. I’m able to turn camera on and off with button but the tracking doesn’t work.

DJI say payload of om6 is 290 gr and iphone 14 pro is 206 gr. I saw videos when people use additonal filters on phone and then gimbal start to struggle, did you had some problems with this gimbal in that situation. For example i use also protection rubber case on phone.

I have both SE and 6 and sadly, with DJI Mimo in android phones lacks essential control over photography parameters like manual control, some only available in iPhone, over ISO, EV, f, shutter speed, WB, histogram, etc... Workaround if you're using Samsung S21 to 25 ultra (108 to 200 MP Quad main camera), is to run Samsung native Camera with the Mobile 6, or even install complementary app Samsung Raw for lossless Raw option -- gives most of the advance photography options, 4 to 8k cinematic option, and manual controls you only typically find in mirrorless expensive SLRs! Note also that if you own one, the remote shutter control of tripods works so long linked with Bluetooth together with , voice command and hand gesture. Hope this helps.

If I turn on the device without opening the DJI app and simply start filming with my mobile phone camera, will it absorb shocks and reduce noise? Or is it necessary to only film using the app? Apart from no built in selfie stick (90 mins more battery life though) and no zoom wheel, it seems to have most of the same improvements (info screen, active track 5 etc.) at 2/3 the price.

Yes, I tested it out and it does a great job of handling both the Dji mic and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Just make sure you balance your gimbal correctly 👍🏻

I have a Sony alpha 6500 with a kit lens and a Sigma30mm prime lens. I also have an iphone 15 pro. I run a chain of cafes and want to shoot reels and videos of brewing coffee and cooking food and all that kinda stuff. Idk if I should buy a Ronin or an Osmo 6. Can I buy Ronin and use both on it? Or should I skip that and buy an osmo 6 for the iphone since, the content shot on iphone is already optimized for Instagram which would be my primary media platform for posting the videos. If you get the dji ronin rs3 mini for example you can use both cameras, which will save you money. However the dji osmo mobile 6 is more convenient to bring along, quick to setup and is optimized for phone shooting and is ideal for creating your reels.

Would the Osmo Mobile 6 handle the weight of the iPhone 14 Pro (not the MAX) with the Lite Chaser Pro case + grip/trigger + filters? If so, what about if I added a small ext mic (or Rode wireless Go receiver+cable) to the cold shoe of the Lite Chaser removable grip? I definitely plan to buy the Lite Chaser Pro case, filter kit and clip-on handle/trigger. But will all this be too heavy for the Osmo Mobile 6 motor? Would be great if the Osmo Mobile 6 with it's improved, stronger motor could handle all that. I need an ultra-light travel kit so moving up to a larger gimbal isn't an option. The new Osmo Mobile 6 would be perfect. Appreciate your thoughts?
