Probably the only reason I can’t get on the “fire Zac Taylor” train is the players attitude towards the game, especially Burrow. And as a long time fan, the undeniable thing that needed to change when Marvin Lewis got fired was the culture. Pin it on Burrow’s arrival, maybe, but my guess would be Taylor himself. I look to the games the team had to play knowing their best player was hurt and wasn’t coming back that year, and how the team still showed up, no matter the situation. The Bengals have looked a lot of ways in recent years, but I would never use the word “defeated.” With how vocal other players have been regarding their feelings about the teams they play for, I’m waiting for a locker room leader to let frustration make them slip up for me to finally accept that Taylor brings nothing to the table for Cincinnati. Firing Lou Anarumo and Frank Pollack were the right moves, along with Marion Hobby(DL coach) for the lack of development with Ossai and Murphy, and James Bettcher(LB coach) for the poor tackling in a depth-lacking unit. But now, as a lot of people pointed out, it’s all on Zac going forward. Put up or shut up. Next season, we’re really gonna find out what kind of leader we really have. And no matter what happens, I’ll be wearing my jersey on my couch for every game, cheering them on. Who Dey

Well said. I do think they should get rid of Tobin and Taylor. I agree the Bengals fought through a lot when Joe had the ACL and last year the wrist and calf issues. The defense was crumbling last year as well. The difference however this year at 4-8 Burrow implied some players had given up and were not giving their all . He said in the coming weeks they would find out who they could count on. You dont say that if all is well behind the scenes. Joe is too classy to name someone or throw a coach under the bus. But read between the lines. Joe not happy with the staff or front office. Its why he said you cant let great players walk out the door... a direct shot at the front office. . The dustup he had on the sidelines with Taylor at the end of the Titan game i believe showed a bit of tension. When the team was 0-3 he met with Taylor privately right after the game BEFORE going to the locker room. Others have implied that Joe and Taylor have had it out a few times behind the scenes.

Same, a long time Bengals fan here. I most definitely agree of current releases of coaching staff. With that said, I agree with your statement, now, I would like to see ZT's leadership speak in volumes. Also, the ownership needs to spend or invest in quality coach replacements. The major problem has been losing experienced, performing players like Jesse Bates and DJ Reader. Tee is now being hung-out by contract negotiations together with Ja'Marr. ZT should have been fired, this talent could take almost any coach to 9-8 record. I'm sick of ZT holding us back

Things ZAC could do better: Timeout management. Passes on 3rd down to the LOS. Motivate under performers. Enhance players situational awareness (ie 4th and 17 = no PI). Find a way to fix our placekicking woes. Get the tough yard on the ground. Pack Volsen's bag.

We need a kicker, consistent and accountable. And why are we starting so slow.

How about you make a change and start the season by having the team ready to go.

When is Zac Taylor contract up??

This next year. Hes gone if they have another season like this one. He knows that and that's why he's making changes

I get tired of the reporters asking softball questions. Ask real questions and put Taylor on the hot seat. Ask him how close he thinks he is to being fired. Ask him about the close games that were lost due to poor clock management and play calls! That’s falls on him.

Why aren’t you stepping down? You are the head coach! Why cant we retain any of our good players?
@VulpineKING19 сағат бұрын
Every team misses tackles and gets caught flat-footed in the secondary-it happens. The Bengals couldn't stop the run, and way too often, they were a step behind and not even looking for the ball until it was too late. From my sofa :o) Good luck next year!

I will support Zac’s decisions. Now, it all falls on you if things do not get better.

No one wants to not do what we did this year on offense. Yes, Zac, it's okay to drop back and throw it 80% of the time if you have Burrow, Chase, Higgins and Geseki. I don't want to get up 13-3 and start running the ball more. We were unstoppable throwing the ball when everyone knew we were throwing the ball. Get better Guards and we can throw the ball 90% of the time. Zac, there is not need to have a balanced offense when you're spending 90 million on your QB and top two receivers. Throw the F N Ball.

Bengals fan base getting worse and worse. Defense plays bad and everyone cries Fire Lou fire Zac. Lou gets fired LOU WASNT THE PROBLEM ZAC WAS. Get out of here. All of those coaches let go were part of the problem. Hopefully we hire some good coaches that will bring some change!

Zac, as the head coach, is ultimately responsible- he should have been on top of all the coaches before the season fell apart. The start of the season is ALL Zac and he should consider moving on.

Now just keep the core offense together and over haul the defense and win a super bowl

FIRST TIME EVER.....season passing leader....season receiving leader (triple crown)....season sack leader.......ALL ON ONE TEAM TOGETHER IN A SEASON!!!!!! .......to then miss the playoffs.......THATS AN ABSOLUTE SIGN OF A BAD HEAD COACH!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

If the bengals pay Trey, tee and Jamarr, how will their defense get better? The reason why Brady was able to be so successful is because he MADE the wide receivers elite. If we are constantly having to pay wideouts massive dollars, we will be handcuffed. Another organization may not have an issue with paying folks - but based on history, this one does.

I cant wait for u to be fired zak. Ive been on ur side for 4 years of stupidity, shame on u for scapegoating ur best hire. Anarumo wasnt as much to blame as u r. Super bowl appearance or ur fired next year

After the SB season everybody was afraid of loosing Lou. He didn’t get support from the Front Office to get the players. If you sack him you have to sack Zac aswell. I am afraid if Joe does not adjust his contract we loose Chase and Higgins.

Zac, I like you a lot, and I support you, but my three criticisms of you are: 1- Not playing Vets/starters at least a full first half of EVERY preseason game. 2- Making poor choices on "going for it" on the WRONG SIDE (ours) of the 50 yard line. 3- Not going for "3" enough. Adding up those FGs Can lead to wins. We had TWO loses because our opponents did, and you didn't. Bravado is nice but.... TAKE THE POINTS in close games!!! Other than that, I agree with these firings.

He gave the same answer to the majority of questions asked!! Geez!! "We will evaluate the best fit...." "We needed to make a change". Notice he skirted around the question of lack of defensive draft picks not being developed,

Fire the entire organization if they can’t see where the problem starts. Taylor, Tobin to name a couple. Pollack should have even gone years ago, a couple of tackling dummies at guard. The position we’re always in is because you don’t get the team ready, Burrow saved your job.

Hey Zack don't forget to evaluate yourself because after you thought long and hard about firing Pollock and Anarumo..... Maybe you should fire yourself you cost us several games this year by your play calling and by your decisions at crucial times in the game so I think you need to take a hard look at yourself and pass the torch to someone else
@L3tsFnGoDumDuMКүн бұрын
Do u think the bengals start off slow cuz the starters don’t play preseason or only a drive while other teams have their starters play nearly the whole game? So by the time the season starts the first 4 games is basically like preseason for the team cuz they’re trying to get chemistry down
