I’m a Bengalurean and I absolutely do not support this bill. I feel ashamed to see how fellow Kannadigas are coolly supporting this bill because they think it will create some opportunity for them, while conveniently forgetting what happens if companies relocate en-masse from Karnataka to other states. And what happens if other states also do this same thing and throw Kannadigas out- Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu for instance- Karnataka doesn’t even begin to have enough jobs for all those people The writing was on the wall for some time now that the current Karnataka government would do something like this- it’s one thing to do it for blue-collar jobs and that too on a limited basis, say 25% reservation for Kannadigas in such jobs as the government is giving tax breaks and low cost land. But it’s quite another thing to do 50% management reservation- no company in private or public sector can handle that. Forget that- even IAS and IPS officers in the state come from other states- is Karnataka government saying that they will impose this on them as well?

Andhra Pradesh is a new State and CM Chandra Babu Naidu is know for developing a state from non-IT to IT major hub. Andhra Pradesh has huge coastal area with right amount of talented young people. I think all the existing IT companies and new ones should setup firms including manufacturing units in Andhra pradesh. If Chandra babu Naidu or Pavan Kalyan makes one statement, invite all the new firms, it will be a boon for Andhra people and its growth. If I had a firm, I would have done it to teach anti unity politicians. People who think this is for Kannadigas have not read Indian constitution which gives right to free movement and right to practice any skill and profession in any place for all citizens within India. This law will be quashed if challanged in courts and then politicians will say we tried but failed. What this will surely do is, make global companies jittery and their risk assessment for Bangalore will increase negatively, Telangana and Andhra may ultimately benefit. Another option for companies today is to close shops and move their shop address to other states while making people work from home in Karanataka, which may evade such laws entirely, not sure why people are taking this seriously. Just see how BJP put a lot of surcharges on higher incomes hearing a lot of economists and all HNIs are shifting money, regressive laws never work. Invest in skill development and emerging technology and train people for these jobs, dont try to discreminate, it just promotes mediocracy and translates into taxes for companies in terms.of productivity losses, companies don't want to absorb such taxes today

All these politicians know that as soon as this bill is passed and the bill goes to the court for hearing, the court will reject it, because it is against the Constitution and fundamental rights. And according to Article 13, if any law goes against the fundamental rights then the court can strike down that law. And it is not that the law makers do not know that this law will be repealed, but they will have an excuse to fool the public that we had tried but the people of North India and the BJP got that law repealed. Because they cannot blame the court as it would amount to contempt and no one wants to confront the court. So those who are working in Bangalore, keep working, don't be afraid. Such laws come every day and are repealed every day. Many states of India have brought such laws many times, and every time the Honorable Court has struck down such laws and reprimanded the government.
