On a serious note Lectururs and Teachers surely need counselling , they don't understand the fine line between disciplining and beeing harsh, my daughter left that college in the last semester due to the harasment of the lectures at PES !!

@@neelroy2918 My daughter has PCOS and she needed a medical leave on a regular basis , and that didn't go well with the HOD , she was good at her academics , but her attendance was low , and also the basic infrastructure doesn't match with providing facilities in then PES college for girls , i dont know about recent developments!

PES college was like this since 2001 when I did my engineering. I rejected PES and took MS ramaiah only because of this reason where a student is expected to be a book worm 24 by 7.

OK several years back we tried for admission to BE for my son. Results were not out for qualifying exam but admissions were going on based on pre final marks. The great man of the institute asked my son weather he had looked into the website of PUC board where indicative results may be announced. He said that he had not gone into that since he would rather wait till the results are announced officially. For that the great man said that he will not be admitted since according to him my son is not proactive enough and does not deserve admission at PES. Mind it he was only a 17 year boy then! The problem is not lack of counselling but rather pressurising and lack of empathy. I think the great man was VC of Electronic City Campus DR SP

The student should be given a betterment or a reexam , that is not given. Bangalore traffic is notorious, no placements is v unfair., anyway its not providing any nice placements also marks are strict exams are strict . Traffic is notorious. No measures to provide security. All stressful exams. Sadist mentors should be removed. Parents should not pressurise students. All are unfair.

Would suggest to go. If you are getting main campus. Its not worth it if u get electronic city campus where 3 of the deaths have occurred. I am an alumni of the colg from the main campus and in our time, nothing of this sort happened. 17-21 batch.

It is a Telgu college. While I was in Surathkal doing my engineering decades ago, there were two professors in electrical and mechanical departments who were considered terror. Seniors used to warn newcomers to stay clear from them. They were excellent at their subject and quite witty and interesting. They were Telgu origin people. Problem is that sensitive students felt very threatened in their presence, not accustomed to the roughness, insults and sarcasm of Telgus. But if you get used to them then they are very good company.
