Appreciate your sincere efforts sir , would like to thank you for your wonderful work...yes , this location seems to be a good place taking many factors in to consideration... proximity to national ,state highways , metro , rail , existing airport and connecting whole karnataka is the main advantage.. availability of huge land parcel may be a game changer when we put this location in to consideration..

Main thing is that this airport will serve the needs of 5 other districts - Mysore, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu. The existing airport is inaccessible for these districts. We can reach this new airport in under 2 hours from any of these

Just look on long weekends NH75 and other exit ways from Bangalore. How much it is overloaded(Traffic). They say Kempegowda Airport is overloaded(airtraffic)... They could have planned it for 100 years instead of 10 - 30 yrs. Just look at the Singapore airport or Hong Kong Airport as example. They could have improved by acquiring the land near Kempegowda airport. Or They could have done this before instead of Kempegowda Airport. Points which city needs improvement 1) Proper drainage system for rain water. 2) Complete ban on Plastic production. 3) Strict Traffic rules and penalty(As many people i see driving in wrong direction and act like as if they are King) 4) Lakes needs to improved with proper water storage (As city's ground water table will increase) 5) Civil courts should not entertain the stay proceeding of any land acquisition for road widening instead it should guide for govt settlement to speed up things. Just few things came to my mind posting it ... Not hurt any one feelings or thoughts.

Absolutely agree on your points...even within the city our ORR are examples...either they are playing catching up games or as you rightly said short term planning is done.....just like how flyovers are built out to shift traffic from one bottleneck to the next!! No holistic thinking or planning though delegation after delegation go on study tour to foreign countries on tax payers money! That is the sad reality but something is better than nothing and hopefully in the long run things will improve with stable gov and policy continuity!

After Ankit vista resort towards Hassan the location starts...near beerauru....but few locals are saying in opposite site.....as that person said behind sondekopppa.....so still confusing the location.....

You would have heard me at the start of the video.. I also was told by few people before yesterday's drive, that it is somewhere on the right but is not the case. Also, on the right, we can see many hillocks as well! The prson I interviewed has many pig/chicken farms close to korategere which is close to the resort you have mentioned. He was very clear on the location and then two more locals in the video too said the same. Dr. Leelavathi Farm House security gaurds also confirmed that the airport is in and around Soldevanahalli/Sondekoppa etc. Full list of villages not known at this point of time.. Hopefully if somebody has the full list of villages, please share it here.

6000 acres planned in this Option 3 means approx 24 square kms area from left of the toll plaza. It is also mentioned 13 villages (see the thumbnail /opening screen of this video). Dam /akravathy lake etc is there but will not be a issue as it is much behind. My suggestion at this point is to wait for the formal GOK notification and then take a call based on whether your property is within or outside. Either way, it should be good provided GOK compensation is at market rate unlike some BDA layouts where lots of litigation are on with respect to property acquisition. Hopefully it is the not the case here!

Koratagere was pushed as one option because home minister is from that area but Mr. MB Patil very clearly said in the assembly and media that the airport will be closer to bangalore within 60km radius and doesn't make sense to setup something more than 90-100kms! FYI. This current site meets some 15 parameters set by AAI and therefore, this has been sent to AAI for approval and latest info that I gather is - this has been approved!

What site is this so cheap? Gramathana or Revenue site? Anything in and around this area is a good buy for sure provided not in the acquisition zone! Just do a proper documentation check with a lawyer before picking up. All the best

in this video, it is said that "existing airport and proposed airport" are very nearby but when I checked the Dr Leelavathi farm is 61 km away from terminal1 of existing airport.. This is not at all near right? am I am missing anything here?

I think you are referring to the interview @5:53 timeline in the video. Yes technically it is near but it can't be next to each other for various reasons - land parcel availability / may be to cater to different areas of Bangalore - like South-west/west bangalore including other places like Mysore/Magadi etc who will find this airport more convenient. Also, with metro connectivity etc, almost everyone should be able to access both the airports in future!

I agree that the two airports can’t be located too close to each other. However, I wanted to point out that the airport specialists (the team tasked with finalizing the location) mentioned in tv channels that one of the reasons for choosing this site was its proximity to the existing airport. I don’t find this reasoning accurate, as the proposed location is still 60+ km away, which makes commuting between the two airports inconvenient, especially if passengers need to catch connecting flights in the future. Additionally, for people living in South Bangalore (areas like Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Banashankari, BTM, Bannerghatta Road, and Kanakapura Road, Anajanapura layout), both airports are over 50 km away. I was hoping the second airport would be located closer to South Bangalore people, given that we already have one in the north. Disappointed with the new finalized location.

Ha ha. You are lucky to have a farm here. Just wait for formal notification to happen and see if your farm is being acquired or not. If not in the acquisition zone., then your farm price will zoom for sure. If in the acquisition zone, you will have compensation from the govt. , hopefully the compensation is good and at mkt rate!

From the interview in the video (check at 3:00 minutes timeline in the video), said west of Sondekoppa. So, exact location will be known once we have detailed map from GOK. Till then, hold tight with your site. You can also alternatively go to your local registration office and reconfirm. Thanks
