Hallo Peter, grundsätzlich war das möglich. Glaube das seit den Hai Angriffen eine neue Regel gilt und es von jedem Hotel einen offiziellen Schnorchel Guide gibt. Informiere dich bitte nochmal beim breakers, ich hab das nur nebenbei mitbekommen. LG und viel Spaß

Ich bin gerade auf das Breakers gestoßen und bin ganz hin und weg, möchte gerne Ende August hin, vom Strand aus kann man da gut schwimmen (oder is es da zu seicht bis zum Riff?), wenn man gerade keine Lust auf schnorcheln hat oder geht das nur vom Steg aus? Gibt es dort vielleicht auch Parasailingangebote? Stell ich mir wunderschön vor, das alles von oben aus zu sehen 😱

Ich kann dir die Breakers Gruppe auf FB empfehlen. Da sind auch Angestellte des Hotels die dir alle Fragen beantworten. Vom Strand aus darf man nicht ins Wasser weil man direkt auf dem Riff laufen würde. Ich würde ohnehin nicht ohne Brille ins Wasser weil selbst bei den sandigen Stellen Mal Steinfische liegen. Siehe mein älteres Schnorchel Video. Parasailing habe ich dort noch nicht gesehen aber somabay ist ein Kite Hotspot. Also Mal nach Kite surfen googeln 😉

You have to stay at one of the Hotels at Soma bay to get to the Area i guess

Leontine Forssblad Why would you miss that beautiful world? Because of that stonefish? If you dont touch anything or step on, you are safe. You can even choose to go in shallow or deeper water at breakers reef.

bengel2000 yeah, it’s a Beautiful world but Im very uncertain and have a bad confidence in the water and can’t be sure that I wont tutch anything be mistake, like an lion fish or step on a ray-fish. And especially not the morena. I’m just so scared for dangerous fishes, even if I like all the other harmless fishes.

Leontine Forssblad lionfish will always stay low to the ground and or hide between corals/stone. Same for the moray. Believe me they are way more scared from you. Just let yourself flow on the surface and gain some confidence and i bet you will love it after the fear goes away. Its so peaceful to just float and look.
