Sparred with Ricky at Phoenix Camp when he was 17 and training for the World Junior Championships. I knew then “this kids got it!”. Billy Graham knew it too…the rest of us had to take a back seat when Billy took him on #X-Factor 👊🏾 Great person, great fighter.

He dared to be great and jumped up a weight to fight the two best fighters of there generation and came up short. Could say on his lane and had a undefeated career but he didn’t. Hero of a man

@@michaelmulhall5007 fell short? He was fucking knocked out. He was better the tszyu ? . He punched him in the balls and burst his bladder. He was stopped in the eleventh round from a burst bladder and didn’t complain about it. Until the low blow. Tazyu was up on the score card. Only kostya could beat paciou and mayweather. Noticed they never wanted to fight him. Happy he had no title. Dodge. Kostya ruled Vegas. Hatton two fights two knockouts. His just a white line title holder of Manchester .

You smashed it Ricky, the whole country had your back. Your journey is so reflective of most working class lads whether they choose the marathon of being a, professional sportsman, tradesmen, getting through university, vocational work, doing a tough or tedious job. You have to work double hard to get there, then for what you get and then spend the rest of your days worried about keeping hold of it from one day to the next. Well done!!

Bit tiring now constantly hearing him bang on how down to earth he was and “one of the lads” “ from a council estate” it’s like he’s always trying to convince himself he has no ego when he clearly did , if he was more down to earth he wouldn’t of fell apart after his losses , just like Naseem he was ok till he got beat then he never got over it .. also like Naseem he was good , very good but couldn’t hold his own with the very best ..

@jacksmalling4265 the fact you bring up your age and it was a charity event indicates you have little understanding of addiction and mental health , as people don't stop having issues because they are in public , biology. and neurology are the determining factors not environment or location
