When I was 23 I took my friend from Japan to Disneyland while he was visiting SoCal around Christmas. We got in the very long line for “It’s a Small World”. Out of the hundreds of people ahead of us in line, the person literally right in front of us was the first girl I ever dated in high school With her husband. We shared a boat with them. The world truly felt small on that boat ride 🤣😂

People just always want to believe that the world is just some googoo lala fairyland where there's nothing bad that ever happens. The world is a ruthless place and people don't want to accept that, that's why rides like this exist just to give people false hope and delute them into believing that the world is this happy place where nothing bad and horrible ever happens. It's just a world of little children out there where grown human beings just act like babies and jump up and down like little children. Nobody has a sense of reality anymore and just always want to always escape it.

For those that don't know, this was built by Arrow Dynamics, along with Dumbo The Flying Elephant, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and a few other rides. This was built back when Arrow and Walt Disney had a good relationship together, and Disney actually helped Arrow out of bankruptcy because he wanted to see them succeed. But sadly, Arrow did go bankrupt again, and didn't recover from it. I'm pretty sure X2 was the last coaster they built, witch was one of their new 4D coasters. But they went bankrupt during its construction and never came back since. RIP Arrow.

ummmm false. it’s a small world opened at the 1964’s world fair and it didn’t even arrive at disneyland until a few years after that, which was in 1966 i believe

I honestly think that this version is way better than the Disneyland Paris one, I was scared of that ride my whole life because of the animatronics "in" the water. This version is way more calming for people like me with submechanophobia.

Beautiful song of love and unity. After all this world is very small in comparison to our divine and immortal friendship. Wishing all friends best of luck. May graceful Lord bless all.

I hate the fact that so many people despise this ride. Ok, it’s not the most exciting ride in the world, but it’s message is one that should be cherished, respected, and appreciated. We live in a hateful world, and this ride reminds us that everyone’s only human at the end of the day regardless of any conflict. I hope that I was able to make some of you respect this ride more, and I wish the best for everyone who reads this. 👍

I honestly hate how much hate this ride gets. People are either “it’s annoying” or “it’s creepy.” Honestly, people who think that obviously didn’t grow up. The ride has such an interesting concept. It walks you through all these different cultures, and languages. The song in general is about world peace. This ride gives me so much nostalgia. It was always my favorite. Some say the dolls are creepy, but I see them as super cute. I also think it’s cute how the general vibe was supposed to look like arts and crafts.

I enjoy the song, not sure if my headset was set too loud, but after about 8 minutes I started getting a headache :( I watched the whole video though. I don't have enough money to go to Disney World. It's too expensive. So it's nice being able to watch these videos and enjoy what I can :)

I would probably be done with the song in the first 5 minutes, but I do want to experience this one day. I went to Disneyland as a kid one time and that day, this ride was closed. I recall going on a Dumbo ride and getting motion sick.

I always love how Crystal clear the water is that you see outside. Like the Summer Olympic pool that you can also see at bottom so clearly. The water on the ride is a strong smelling Chlorine. Anyways, water so clear that it seems like you can even drink it, lol.

I don’t remember if it was last night or when I had this dream, I know it was recent. But I remember being in the Africa scene but the power was out, it was just silent and none of the animals were moving, there was just a bunch of bright lights illuminating the darkened scene

It's still going strong (and causing nightmares because of the dolls) even tho it's one of the oldest attractions in the park. Personally I think the music is nice to listen to but it can be annoying. Even though the Dolls are cute, they can be scary sometimes. Especially when someone caught the attraction in the dark. I'm pretty sure the Song and the Lights turn off, but not the Dolls. Truly terrifying

Of all the rides at Disneyland, I feel Walt's spirit the most on this and Carousell of Progress in Florida. It was two that he worked directly with the creation of them. I remember the opening day ceremony at Disneyland with children from all over the world and they poured water from all the major rivers in the ride. It was Memorial Day 1966 if I remember correctly.

This ride is like oatmeal raisin cookies: it's the reason why I have trust issues. The Matterhorn was the first ride I went on when I went to Disneyland at nine years old. It was awesome. The castle was even bigger and I figured it must have a much more awesome ride inside of it. I was mistaken, and I spent 15 minutes sitting there regretting that mistake.
@Doodlebugthegoldenhamster Жыл бұрын
This isn't a thrill ride. It's a feel-good dark ride with a beautiful and powerful message. Even if the song is repetitive, this is one of the best things to come out of Disney. And mind you, this was made in the 60's when people were still racist. Walt really gave the world a step in the right direction.

That’s the only reason most people ride it. For the AC and the fact that it’s a longer ride so you can rest your feet for a while.
