Apparently i learnt to walk on Benidorm beach 60 years ago, before all the high rises. I would hate it now, i like quiet places and couldn't drink in the afternoon like that, but lovely to see so many good people enjoying themselves.

@@Davejono2 they are - I was speaking to one of the chef's who told me everything on the menu is frozen and imported directly from the supermarket Iceland in the UK - they dont use any of that local foreign muck they serve in the rest of Benidorm

It strikes me as kind of ironic that a place in Spain over run with Brits who on the whole I will guarantee have issues with sections of the community back home in the UK supposedly 'taking over'. Benidorm is what you make it, it is cheap, it can be fun. But it seems the draft beer is so bad everyone drink from bottles. Having spent many years visiting Torrevieja and Le Zenia, I know the beer there is far superior. I mean, why on earth go to Spain and drink the worst beer in the world Coors lite? Why drink anything other than Spanish beers or german beers in the hot weather? I believe the draft (yes I know its draught) beers are brewed weaker than other areas of the Costas or it is watered down.
