help some qualifiers were so random but imo daniela blasco is the clear choice for spain to get a great result! the song is catchy, her choreography is literally perfect and she can improve her vocals until may for sure! let’s see what spain will choose and if they can get out of the bottom 5 again 😁

I wanted Carla to qualify. And she brought quality. But her vocal was very off. So, in one sense, she didnt deserve to qualify. In terms of vocals, Mawot is head and shoulders above the others. But, the hype isnt behind him unfortunately. I hope Daniela Blasco doesnt win because its just manufactured commercial rubbish that is regular radio stuff. This is Eurovision I want something different

Ok interesting! I kinda like your top 8, though I dont agree with it fully. Here's mine: 1. Mel Ömana: I'm a Queen I liked this one when the songs first released, but I thought this was a NQ for sure. Then the live shows happened and blew my expectations into the orbit. Amazing performance with a clear sense of drama and she has a very unique style of vocals that I adore. I hope it goes to Basel with some improvements (mainly the outifts, they feel a bit dull, though I like the intial outfit reveal) (The Queen will slay, trust (I also absolutely love her hair)) 2. Lucas Bun: Te escribo en el cielo My favourite from Semifinal 1. Like Mel, I liked it but I thought this was a sure NQ until the Live Shows and there I absolutely adored it. I admit, it takes a bit too long to get going but the vocals are perfect and the stage show is beautiful. (Though whats up with that mic stand?) 3. Meoldy: Esa Diva Technical difficulties aside, Melody delivered. Im sure these difficulties wont occurr on saturday so a good placing is guaranteed. I like the song, though its performance was quite predictable. Your go-to girlbop performance. I like the performance more asthetically then Danielas, though the black, pink and white colour pallete doesnt mix well with Melodys outifit (The pre-reveal outfit was much better) but thats about it. Nicely created and well put-together girlbop that I adore. 4. J Kbello: V.I.P Raw, next question. Uh, I mean I like the song a bit more then Kuves, its a vibe, though he is still far from my favourite and it is an unique entry that uses darkness as a stage element to give more of a club vibe which fits nicely with the song. The whole performance is well put-together and I wouldnt mind if it went to Eurovision. 5. Kuve: Loca xti Its fine but I have nothing more to comment about it. Kuves vocals are great, though the song was never really my thing. 6. Lachispa: Hartita de Llorar Lachispa, what happened to your live vocals? I adore everything about this, except the vocals. If she manages to fix these by tomorrow, she'll rise up all the way to number 2 on this ranking but oh was it dissapointing to see that semifinal performance (I fear it traumatized me). Everything went so well but then the chorus went horribly on the vocal side. She was my favourite before the show! 7. Daniela Blasco: Uh nana I would like to admit that I never really liked this one. I am not a huge fan of the chorus because it falls a bit flat in my opinion, the live stage feels cheap to me. It merely consists of a glittery outfit, some background dancers and a basic choreography for a girl-bop. I also dont like the speed up at the end at all and the colour pallete of yellow/gold, white and black only serves to deter me even further. Art is subjective however, yall fangirl this if you want to, but I wont and I dont see myself ever liking it if it is chosen to represent Spain in Basel. 8. Mawot: Raggio di sole I'm sorry, I never vibed with this one no matter how good the vocals are. I guess the live version is fine enough, though it still remains my least favourite out of Benidorm fest this year.

It will be difficult for Spain to escape the bottom five places with any of these songs. Lots of dance breaks and a preference for show/staging over music. Not to mention the missing notes when singing (no wonder with most stagings). Only Kuve and Lucas Bun stand out a little positively for me.

I agree. Lachispa has the most interesting song, but it still would probably suffer a similar fate to Norway's entry last year. There isn't anything in this selection that would probably do much at Eurovision. Kuve may well be the best option here. At least she can sing. Most of the others sound a bit off
