Such a mellow sound. More and more of Kygo's work seem to be sounds from two culturally rich countries in Africa (Ethiopia & Eritrea)...I wonder if he took 'his' style from them as those music styles have existed for thousands of years.

There are a lot of rythms in the two countries (not regions). Even The Weeknd is from Ethiopia, and he attributes his musical style to be inspired by two Ethiopian Musicians, Aster Awoke and Composer Mulatu Astateke. If listen to the songs of the "Agewu", "Minjar" or the "Debub" ...amnongst many you will find a unique trait in all of them. At times I have noticed that the sounds of Kygo go towards the xylophone like very old instrument used by the "Gambella" people. My friend once gave a tour guide to The Gorillaz, and they wanted to see the musical heritages of Ethiopia, and they did. We all look for inspirations, but it is always good to at least site and accredit your source, especially if it making you millions :). Anyways, as for your question, I only noticed Kygo and The Weekend(he doesn't count as he is from Ethiopia). Also, check the works of Prof. Ashenafi Kebede, he is quite the composer if you are into Symphonies...I only keep finding one of his compositions on youtube but it will give you an idea.
