The berceuse was a very famous piece until the 1940s-1950s of the 20th century.

There is lovely music in this second suite. The "Prelude" and "Berceuse" are especially beautiful pieces....

This is a particularly wonderful discovery for me. I was named after the opera, and my mother used to sing 'Angels Guard Thee' to me as a child. I love this orchestral version of the Berceuse, which brings back a lot of memories ... Btw, thank you for all your informative comments, which I always look for on this channel.
