This was one of those uploads I had to return to immediately after my first listen. Gorgeous, seemingly effortless flow to the orchestration (beautifully performed by the Slovak State PO). Woods, Fields (5:48), Mountain (8:50) and exuberant Village life (13:32) are here transformed into breathtaking wonders by a truly gifted, though sadly short-lived, French composer.

Thanks for putting this up Mr. Rodders. I'm now a fan of Godard. Not just his Berceuse either.

The musical world owes Naxos is immense debt for introducing us to a repertoire that was neglected because of Box office and for introducing an whole host of orchestras, soloists, and composers. This is a golden age of musical performance, interpretation, authenticity. Thanks Utube, thanks Naxos, thanks to the host of accomplished musicians who make the stupidity of other human beings bearable
