Benjamin Marauder 22 Airgun quick review 12 10 2020

Just a quick look at this Benjamin Marauder Rifle. Had the opportunity to take one out for a spin and attempt to site it in with a scope. Using Premier .22 cal 14grn Pellets. right off the shelf. Not my normal choice but it was, what was available at the time and what the owner said he was shooting in this Airgun. Normally for Small game hunting I like a heavier pellet, running in the 18 gr variety H&N Hunter Extreme has always been a good go to.
but one thing that I have learned is find the pellet the guns likes the best. As the saying goes Accuracy is Final.

I can tell you, She is Heavy. Not a gun for a kid. but it is what I would call a starter gun
My experience with this gun 10 yrds. on. 15yrd shoots high and at 20 you better be using a lot of windage.
Shots out of one charge says 80 I spanked out 60 and still had the needle buried in the green. You could have probably got another 20 out of it.
It has a T handle cocking system and the trigger has a Safety lever directly in front of it. (never seen that before.) The Trigger pull, Lets just say is a little Squishy . The 10 round plastic magazine I have never had any luck with. But Im pretty tough on my equipment.
Backyard plinking. it will work .

20 yards a little squishy, I was thinking about getting one, my regular marauder shoots very good at 20 yards (that's 60 feet) even at 50 and 100 yards, (I have paid the extra for the better barrel) sorry no sale to me today, I heard they were weak on distance, just one more nail in it's coffin for me.

Yep I was totally impressed with the fact that I was still in the green with 60 rounds down Range. But at that point the accuracy was going the way of the wind. They say it can do 80 shots. I would put that into a Close up 80 shots . Other then that she shoots.
