I have the .177 version and it shoots straight through my pellet trap (which stops a .22 pellet from my Hatsan Striker 1000s) and it went half way through my wooden fence behind it. So now basically I can't shoot it until I get a better pellet trap and I've been thinking about getting a .22LR bullet trap for when I use my break barrel guns
@gonerydin42257 жыл бұрын
Good idea. I finally broke down and bought a .22 bullet trap to use in my garage a couple of years ago. You will still need something else for BBs though.
@locdasmoke7 жыл бұрын
I actually just made a new pellet trap using old clothing together with a stack of old mail that needed to be shredded in the middle and it's so thick, it has no problem stopping the pellets now and my BB's don't ricochet too bad on it either.

locdasmoke + i just found an about 12" x 15" 11 ga. steel plate out back. Put a brick standing on each side, holding the plate to close to 45°. Slid a steel pan of sand/dirt under it. Works great. Power fired rounds might go thru the pan bottom though.

About 45 yrs ago my dad got me a BB gun. It was an old used beat up thing. Part of the stock folded down an you pumped it up. Had a slide thing on the side , where you load the BB. Half the time it did not load. And you could not point the gun at a downward angle. Because if you did the BB would roll out the barrel. I remember being about 10 - 15 feet away shooting at cans. IF I were luckly enough to hit one it might knock it over. But it would not go through. And that is what I know about BB guns. After watching a few videos it looks like these BB / Air rifles have come a long way. I may get me one. Damn squirrels are taking over they are in the attic an now taking over my garden.

Your stock bolts are probably loose. Remove the two bolts from the front, and the two holding in the trigger guard. Clean ALL of the factory cutting oil/grease we off of the screws with a paper towel and your screwdriver, you sing your fingernail (thumbnail) to get the paper towel deep into the threads. Reassemble using loc-tite blue over the whole screw threads. Tighten the threads down snuggly and do not shoot for at least 24 hours for the loc-tite to dry completely. Do this process with your scope rings and only use rings with a scope stop pin or they WILL slide back upon recoil while shooting! This and only this will make this nice air rifle work properly! Good luck😊👍

@senatorjosephmccarthy27207 жыл бұрын
Thurnis Haley + using the "artillery hold" allows pellet rifles to shoot noticably more accurate. If you have a Benjamin Prowler, unless it's a rare one, the problem most likely isn't the rifle. Likely it's the scope, if you're using the one included. Everybody is recommending giving the included scope to a child, and buying a real one. Also, the rifle needs at least 100 rounds thru it, to wear it in enough to settle down in accuracy. And the only reliable way to zero any scope or sights is by using a rest, with the forestock resting where you plan to put your open hand. I've got a Leopers UTG. I do not recomend Pyramid Air because of their deliberately torturous answering machine. Leopers ph number is 734-542-1500. www.leapers.com .

This thing is a pure junk. 2 scopes and 300 rounds of various pellets later 6 inch groups at 10 yard is the best this heavy toy will do. The included scope was actually fine in my case, everyone saying the horrible accuracy was just the scope was just not willing to admit its a horribly inaccurate and loud POS. Considering some will tell you its a crap shoot whether you get one that shoots right or not, and others saying only about 1 in 4 will be accurate I suppose I should have known better than bother with this. I knew it when I got it home and realized it was re-taped and finger prints on the gun that it had already been returned at least once and good old chinamart had yet again put someones returned trash to the shelf to sell as new.

@matttheroux47697 жыл бұрын
August Arellano. I got a lot of good advice from people on airgunnation and I also spoke with the manufacturer at Crosman who owns Benjamin. I found one of the biggest problem is after about 15 to 20 shots the screws come loose in the barrel then has movement in it which explains why my pellets were going all over the place. I had to get some Loctite and take all the screws out put Loctite on them and put them back in I got that advice from a man who owns the prowler and had the same issue. So now I am hoping that it will be much more accurate. I knew there was something strange because I would get it see Road and hit a Target no problem after about 15 or 20 shots all of a sudden I couldn't hit the target anymore. The reason why is the screws were coming loose from the vibration in the barrel was starting to move so if you buy one my suggestion is put Loctite on all the screws
