Long story short years ago he helped me with what seemed like insurmountable depression after loosing my uncle to Pancreatic cancer (firefighter in El Paso for may years- Chris L. Hayes) I have many other avenues of music but I love the road he has been down and though. Sens of calm and love that only comes from hardships. Magic in the words. I lived many places but I remember vividly in KY moving to Alaska and saying goodbye to my family I jammed his so loud all the birds could hear- tears streaming down my face. Keep it up my friend and thank you for sharing you path with us. I've never talked about my uncle online so I guess this might be a treat for you all. Love hard, we never know when our time is up~

Hey brother - I really like this song and the ways it differs from your classic efforts of deeply-felt, revealing, and often heart-wrenching poems set against sparse instrumentation. While retaining your inimitable timbre, phrasing, and cadence, this song with its full band sounds to me like something heard during the heyday of the Opry. I could hear this song playing at the Boar’s Nest in an episode guest starring Darrell Waltrip, another of Kentucky’s sons. It is “throwback” in the best of ways and sounds like that “real country” to which so many aspire and often fall short of. Keep it up, man.

Good, I know them well and can swim. this independent/non mainstream journey i am on is helping me through deep personal times.. they never seem to end or stop. but there's brighter moments.
