I recommend checking to see if you can replace the wheels on your chair with silicone wheels, they are a game changer in regards to how smooth and quite they will make your chair. I was able to buy replacement ones off of Amazon for my Aeron chair. They work great on both hard and soft surfaces.
@benmack2 жыл бұрын
I’ve already been checking some out too. To be fair, the chair wheels aren’t too bad though. But I like the idea of a smoother roll

Really nice space mate! Well done. Just one thing I noted, in some of your video it looks like your ambient lighting behind the desk is suffering from stroboscopic flicker. This will be really subtle and potentially unnoticeable but will cause strain on your eyes and subtle fatigue over time. Flicker should be eliminated by going to a higher quality strip.
@benmack2 жыл бұрын
You’re spot on. Can’t pick it up with the naked eye but the shutter speed of the camera does. It’s actually happening with all my led lights quality or not too (as I have some cheap ones and quality ones).
@danagoyette79322 жыл бұрын
@@benmack The big factor there is PWM (pulse-width modulation) frequency, and that's a spec of the LED chip if using addressable strips, or the controller if using non-addressable. But sadly, almost nobody advertises that critical spec in their dang spec sheets. I had to ditch my Hue lights, because their 1khz PWM made me feel sick. For reference, ws2812b has a low PWM frequency, SK6812 is low-medium, SK9822 is medium frequency, and APA102 and HD107S are high frequency.

Don’t get me wrong I love the setup, especially the storage closet on the right. But i kinda feel like I’ve seen this exact setup video toured a million times. It’s so generic. The monitor riser, wooden desktop, monitor and laptop arms, even the “ikea” plant. I wish someone would come up with something original.

Nice setup Mack! May I know what white paint did you use for the wall? Look warm and cozy.
@benmack2 жыл бұрын
It's actually just the paint the office had prior - like a standard white. As I'm only renting, I didn't bother painting. But I did try to use warmer colours of accessories and lights to get the warmer feel to it

@benmack2 жыл бұрын
Why make any videos really?
@DerekDavis213 Жыл бұрын
Right away notice some problems in the first 5 seconds of the video: The monitors are too high. The front edge of the desk has a sharp, right-angle edge. That could hurt your wrists. It should be a soft rounded edge. The chair should have a higher back, for better support. The right chair is critical for comfort.
