My nephew and his wife visited the packers ground when they was over on holiday. And went to watch them play at the spurs ground in England.

Have to appreciate the amount of time it really takes to make a quality build. Some have no idea. Too much time watching discovery an half built cars.

Great episode, Jordan! And I actually laughed out loud twice - first with the shot of you on the floor with the axle housings and springs as an elegant head dress, and second, when you surprised your mate in the opening! My appreciation of your humor gives you an idea about my mental health (or lack thereof). Always entertaining. And I appreciated your focus on safety precautions. Too easy to do serious damage...

Another great video showing and explaining the process! Undoing the pressure on the leaf springs always makes me nervous. A-and a Josh double cameo made my day because I was getting thirsty! The Josh drinking game continues! Go Bennetts Customs, keep moving forward, can't wait to see what's next!

So the first comment isn't about the video. I really want a shirt with the logo on the canvas banner you have pinned up with Bennets in black and a blue half pinstripe. It is ART

May I suggest before you forget…. Grab that paint pen and write ‘cracked’ on the leaf you cracked for quick identification in the future 👍😎👍

Hey Jordan, I have always liked the high arch of the model A and T spring, especially over a quick change center piece. You did a nice workover on that spring set.

Hey Josh, it's Blue & Green......👕🩳🚫 And it's probably a good idea you're wearing Mustard coloured shorts, that way Jordan won't notice you've shit yourself when you come out of the dunny

Nice work on the T spring Jordan, they certainly do have an elegance about them compared to most other leaf springs and longevity as well as its probably seen close to 90 years of service and still going strong. Cheers Greg

Brilliant thumbnail Jordan, and a good choice of quick change too! I run a Pacific also in my A coupe ,Bill is a great guy to deal with and it is a quality product, comes in a great box !I would offer some words of advice when building it ,use studs and nuts on the "bells" until the final fit up ,buy a shim kit(probably two!) and buy or borrow an dial torque wrench for setting the drag on the pinion and the spider gear section ( I tried using a spring balance and a lever but it was too frustrating)Inch pounds with a very small range 0-20 .I used an old spider centre and welded a nut to it so I could run a length of rod right up through the bell with a nut on the top to rotate it and set the drag on the bearings in the bell .I hope that makes sense-I did try and make a video for my channel but it was too long and involved( I got bored watching it!).cheers from Scotland

When I redo springs I like to paint them with a graphite paint (I use Slip plate) so the springs will slide on each other and it really improves the ride and won't rust. I also grind the ends of the springs where they come together so the upper spring will slide better on the lower and not wear into the lower spring.

Great video. Do a video reversing a model A leaf spring outlet. to lower the rear axle. Thank you.

With that broken spring. You could turn it into a body slapper. For a bit of panel beating. Just a thought.

Hey Jordan Love the show the fabrication. Bought the the shirt... Did you do a segment on the galmet if so which episode please. Can you paint over the ranex

Did you grease between the springs? Reduces the "squeak-squeak".

Not yet but this will be disassembled again and springs painted prior to final install
@johnmcleod5123 Жыл бұрын
I read somewhere that back in the day guys would put greased brass screen between the spring leaves. Probably the modern equivalent would be some type of thin plastic sheet
