This is my exact drive every week from Boston to Bennington and back through NH. Pretty but feels like a long slow work day now haha.

Lived there in 1977 as a 20 year old. Lots of fun that hotel on the corner by the clock rented out all its rooms for a dorm for Southern Vermont College kids to stay in. Great times lots of partys. Lots of fun at the B & R bar down the street a converted train trestle stop. Played in a band for a living then and when that eventually panned out got a job as an electrician at Union carbide. Everything was ok till the Blizzard of 1978. That was a game changer that winter. The 1978 Blizzard is very infamous look up its Wiki. Snowed non stop for like 25 hours snowflakes as big as a half dollar. If your a working stiff its hard to make a go of it when winters like that hit you. It snowed so hard that blizzard that I could not see my Dodge van in the morning the snow was so high lol. Anyway thats Vermont lol. Thanks for the video LOOK AROUND lots of good times in that town.

Where does this route 9 go? Does it go to New York State and New Hampshire? Does it stay here in Vermont?

@5:54 Confederate battle flag in Vermont. The irony. Vermont was the first state to ban slavery, and lost more soldiers per capita than any other Union State. They are amongst us.

@A.R. DE I find these Confederacy sympathizers to be cowards and fools. They know it was all about slavery, a moral abomination, and yet they try to sell it as "heritage" and "pride". It's just like during the actual Civil War, once it got going, those rebels found out they were sold a lie.

Oh that guy loves to fly both flags. He’s a wannabe rouge neck like many northerners who never lived or were bred in the south

Loved the drive. This is a town I've been visiting my whole life. Didn't get to go this year due to covid. But this was a great drive. Wish you had driven around the Bennington Monument though! ;) next time! Thanks again.

I'm here every week for work I have to do a drive from Boston to Bennington. It's not the prettiest Vermont town that I've been in but it is very cool.

How on earth did you fail to drive around the 306 foot Bennington Battle Monument?

I saw the monument while driving back on VT 7 and 279. It is amazing and unignorable.

First off, you're driving wayyyyy too fast through town like that. Way too fast. Little kids walk around that town an around the high school they just jump out in the road when they are crossing. I'm surprised you didn't get pulled over or yelled at.

no, it wasn't that fast... the optics and camera settings on his go-pro makes it APPEAR faster--
