I’m a poker player by trade now. Been grooming myself for 14 years. I have a neighbor I push around in a wheelchair to gamble. He loves the machines. I have more fun watching him win than when I run really good. I understand what Mr. Binion is saying.

The guys who came up in this time period where so lucky. They had so much opportunity. You try now days to open a casino there's no way it'll work. At all. Not only that it costs 50x what it did to build one and the land for it now. All they had to do was have some money or get a loan from the bank and they could make it. Now days that's just not possible anymore in this type of field.

You're 100% correct. Benny Binion is known to have killed at least two people (and probably more) in Texas gang wars before coming to Vegas. To his credit, he was known to run a good casino, but he was a mean SOB, and not a man to be messed with.
