Some people view music kinda like food. McDonalds is fast, cheep and extremely accessible. But mashing potatoes, grilling a steak and mixing up some thick gravy is more savory but it takes more to accomplish. Travis Barker is like McDonalds, he is in your face and easy to grasp. And Greb is a nutritious meal for your eardrums. So i just enjoy the meal and leave the junk food for those who are into pig snouts pressed into the shape of a rib.

Yeeeessss!!! I love how everyone that comments this appreciates good drummers and if they need an example of a bad & overrated drummer they all use Travis Barker, my type of People!!

@danny666ball While what you're saying about Benny Greb is true, he is probably one of my leading inspirations in drumming and one of my favorite drummers by far; What you're saying about Travis Barker is slightly rude, I mean, sure he isn't crazy technical and doesn't go into rudimental theory of drumming but he is still a legend. He can't help that people compare him to drummers like Benny, which is a mistake itself. Travis is a legend for what he does, not what Benny does. Stop comparing.

@zonkabe i don't know why everyone hates barker so much...i mean he is a nice guy and a good drummer..of course the level between barker and the other great drummer (greb, mayer,weckl..etc) is abyssal but i still like what he does and i can't see the problem...

Danny666ball is an immature musician who lacks the mental capacity to comprehend the importance of having drummers like Travis Barker. Travis has a phenomenal sense of time and plays just what he needs to play for the music that he loves, likewise with Benny Greb. Benny Greb is viewed as being better because the music he likes requires him to be more refined. Please realize this and stop comments like ^

@Pablations Likewise, I have heard such claims, but honestly, I wish that we could eliminate the idea of "best drummer" and "best musician" entirely. Every musician has a different purpose, and a good musician is a musician that fulfills that purpose well. Travis DOES in fact fulfill his purpose well, as he is a sought after studio musician, likewise with Benny. Due to this fact, Travis' skills are irrelevant to Benny's, just as any musician's skill is irrelevant to any others.

@DaltonTheDwarven youre taking it the wrong way. lots of people love mcdonalds but its definitely not considered fine cuisine. just as travis barker wouldn't be considered a refined drummer. hes good for the music he plays but he will never have the subtleties and nuances of a drummer like greb. barker is a legend because of the bands he's been in. some people think hes the best drummer in the world because hes popular and they cant understand the complexity of a drummer like greb.

@XxStrongDrums1996xX i apologize my dear friend, i just thought it was funny that everyone uses travis barker as an overrated drummer, never did i say he sucked, but too many people think hes the greatest drummer out there and, though he is great, people need to stop being ignorant and claiming hes the best drummer that ever lived (and i have heard that claim before)

Or not because Travis is overrated and has been called "The best drummer in the world" while he's good at what he does there are more technical players and as much as you might hate the whole "better musician" thing, there are better drummers than him and that's that.
