+Ava Bickford The beat is kind of the same and it has the same creepy childish tune to it. Also, like in dollhouse it says. "Throw on your dress" In here, it says "Throw on your jersey". And the funny thing is that they both have been said at the same time, the beat also drops at the same time. Just personal observations. Though the plot of the two songs are extremely different. I'm not saying that Melanie or Benny copied one another, I'm just saying it's a coinsidence.

Gabbi Jainniney Faggot indeed came from Fagot, but they made the word Faggot for a reason, and I mean queer. And you did mention smoking means you're gay: "For three, are you calling cigarettes depressed/emo/suicidal? Cause that's what a faggot is". And if i wanted to call someone a bundle of sticks, I would just call them a bundle of sticks instead of having them misunderstand me. I have many queer friends too, and I have nothing against them, and I hate to admit to say this, but when I call someone a faggot, I say it because I go with the crowd sometimes. And I am going to judge you the same way you judged me thinking I might be straight, but you look like a 10 year old.
@theycallmeonii-chan49009 жыл бұрын
Gabbi Jainniney You implied I was straight here:" I don't think it's appropriate or polite for a non-queer person to use the term faggot" and you don't have to agree with how I "go with the crowd", that's my choice, and you also don't have to explain how its an offensive term, because I was trying to be offensive.

+Prince-Oliver transsexualism? Being trans means that you feel uncomfortable in the body you were born in, or rather, the sex you were born in. So, a girl is born, and she feels uncomfortable in her body as a female, and wants to be a boy. Most of the cases, it causes people like that to be looked upon negatively, they get bullied, called names and MOST often "gay" (because they dress up as the opposite sex, and for some reason that is "gay" for them), etc. so they get gender disphoria. Basically, they're depressed about their gender.

"Put on false confidence just to feel alive" As a ftm trans person, I relate heavily to this. Just because I came out, cut my hair, and bought a chest binder doesn't mean I automatically love myself again. I hate myself. But I pretend to be alright and pretend to love who I am now because everyone around me assumes that's how it goes. As any other trans person would know, that's not how it works. Even after everything, a lot of people still take time to learn to love themselves. I'm not there yet, and I don't know if I ever will be. But I fake a smile and force confidence onto myself like a drug because that's the only way I ever feel alive and free. Thanks for coming to this shitshow of a TED-Talk.

As a genderfluid person, I relate a lot to your comment... I hope you'll soon feel better. Just remember that you don't have to put up a front of happiness. It's okay to be sad, it'll eventually pass with time but while you're struggling don't hesitate to talk to a friend if you need to. That can be really freeing to know that someone is supporting you. @@Frenzy48 I think they mean that it hits harder for trans people bc we have more problems with gender roles than anyone else because of wanting to pass and other peoples judgment. I'm ftm and I wear skirts but I often get told I'm faking being trans bc 'skirts are for girls' and this song is saying that it's pure BS That's what I think anyway, sorry for the essay 😅

But back to the song, its really amazing c: everyone is the same, whether you're transgender or not, so please, don't use gender roles as everyone wants to be happy.

Here are the Lyrics in text form: *Little Game - Benny* Play us like pawns and relentlessly confine, Into living up to gender roles and having absent minds Don't you think it's funny how they tell us how to live? Don't you think it's funny how we're all delinquent kids? Like, hush now, don't say, don't say Hush boy, oh hush boy, don't say a word Throw on a jersey and no one gets hurt Hush girl, oh hush girl, just bat your eyes Play our little game, play our little game Bounded all thoughts and corrected common sense You're raising suicidals with your predetermined titles Like "a mess, distressed, I am unimpressed, you're excess A dress is all you'll ever be." Gender roles impose control and deceive progressive times Welcome to the land of the broken minds Hush boy, oh hush boy, don't say a word Throw on a jersey and no one gets hurt Hush girl, oh hush girl, just bat your eyes Play our little game, play our little game [2x] We feign opulence just to get by Put on false confidence just to feel alive They can't hurt me anymore There's nothing left to break of me There's nothing left to take from me 'Cause, baby, it's easy to fake a smile When you've been doing it for a while Baby, it's easy to fake a smile When you've been doing it for a while Hush boy, oh hush boy, don't say a word Throw on a jersey and no one gets hurt Hush girl, oh hush girl, just bat your eyes Play our little game, play our little game [2x] Hush boy, oh hush boy ------ Hush girl, oh hush girl ------- Play... Play, Play... Play... Play, Play... Play? Play our little game Play our little game Play our little game Play our little game Play our little game Won't you play with me? * *Disclaimer: I don't own ANYTHING!!!! I mean yes we are all raised differently, but kids now days and even older people needs to learn that you dont have to be a boy to wear this or be a girl to do this.. we are human.. we have skin.. we have minds, and we have hearts.. we can use them in the way we like to.. Please stop comparing him to Melanie Martinez. Sure, their music is similar, but they’re two completely different people with different styles. Comparing someone to another person doesn’t make them feel good-especially when you make it seem as if they’re copying another being, when they’re not.

And, I fully relate to it. I'm female in real life, but I want to be a boy, but society looks down on people like me. We're forced to be in these roles, but we wanna break out, and not act how our genders are seen. Be who we truly are inside.

I remember listening to this a lot when I was younger Now I'm basically an adult for two years Accepting being comfortable with being born female, yet I still need to find myself whilst realising how gender roles as a whole are absolute bullcrap which resulted in me wearing whatever the hell I want, not caring if it's for men or women Still unsure if the fact that my father attempted to raise me male when I was a toddler while later being raised a girl by my mother who still allowed me to do what i wanted played a part in this development

This hits me close to home. I’m transgender FtM and I’ve always hated gender roles. In gym, although teachers never imply for it, girls always stay on one side in groups and boys on the other. Me and my other transgender friend were in the middle. The only two of us. The weirdos. It pains me how girls wearing oversized hoodies and messy hair with no makeup is “unladylike” and guys wearing dresses, pretty hair, and makeup is “gay”. Society, let us live our lives in peace.
