Amazing riding...Thanks for posting! Really making that engine sing dude. Do you click down 2 gears going into any turns at Chuckwalla going CW? Do you short-upshift at turns 9-10 to keep the R's low on purpose (less power/torque - wheel spinning?).
@SolisBenny7 жыл бұрын
Yes! down 2 into turn 1. and no on the short up shift. I keep the R's low since its such a slow turn with negative camber...if its in the power band and you open it too much it can bite you hard there. Thats why that turn is called "crash corner." Super easy to make a mistake so I take my time through it since you can't gain much pushing there anyway

Benny Solis have you ever came close to digging the left rearset into the ground or the candy stripe curb on turn 9? If so, how do you prevent it? I was out there last weekend doing 2:10 laps (fast for me) on my FZ-10 and I went into turn 9 with a similar line you took and the damn left rearset dug into the ground and unweighted the wheels...lowside. I have GIlles Tooling MUE-2 rear sets and they were in the most rear/upward position. I'm just frustrated and trying to figure out how I can avoid that in the future while increasing my pace.

Sweet mercy . CW round in 2 months. How can I duplicate that on a zx6r.

Noticed your suspension preload adjuster are so worn out! Lots of adjustments and rebuilds, you don't necessarily get right on top of the apex for every turn but carry a lot of speed either way at apex, down shifts the JP way. Cool! Thanks for sharing this to us
@SolisBenny7 жыл бұрын
+John Semroska definitely many adjustments :) and yup! Chuckwalla is pretty special. Some turns it's a waste of time to "hit an apex". You been to a JP school? He explains it well. And no problem! Glad you liked it

I'm glad to hear a Chuckwalla KFG say hitting few of the apex as a "waste of time." I actually just watched a JP/Star onboard lap and noticed he missed several corner apex but stated he did so on purpose as to open up a few corner entries, get the bike stood up earlier, and on the throttle sooner; such as 5 to 6 and 10 to 11. I do plan on coming out to a STAR school. Just gotta save up the $700.
