Glad the song is finally out but I have a couple of thoughts: Definitely too late for 1. Not in the sense that it devalues the quality/content but in the sense that I don't see it helping Benny the way it would have in the past. Drake's rep is in the trash and this dropped essentially on a random Friday so it's not gonna generate as much attention as if it was on a project. The people who care about this record already heard it 3 years ago imo. 2: Even if this wasn't the case, I agree it feels like Drake is trying to run to Buffalo since Atlanta is off the table. Like he finally green lit it to save face after the battle. Again, doesn't affect the quality, the track is the track, but it will affect who decides to listen to this. And that affects the attention Benny will get, which was the whole point of getting Drake on here. 3: The record itself is mid imo. Very solid Benny verse, nothing out of this world or too standout but your average good Benny performance at this point (compare that to anything off TT3 or Plugs 1). Pair that with a very mediocre Drake performance and you get something that's listenable but nowhere near up to standard with what these two are capable of. Most people that aren't super fans aren't going to come back to this. Same quality as the whole Summertime Butch EP really.
