Pls that entrance carpet is for shoe cleaning as foot mat not tiles. Also there is a reason for carpet cos in the winter,it will be too cold for you to step your foot on. The stairs can't be tiles cos it is made of wood not concrete. Tiles on woods do move depending on the weather. And congratulations on your achievement. Just change the carpet to different one or use laminated flooring for the living room. And entrance posh should remain carpet for cleaning shoes.

Congratulations on your house! The house is beautiful, I don’t think there is much to change apart from the red paint on the wall upstairs. All the changings and keeping everything white with little kids be ready to retouch every three to five years as it will look dirty soon if not repainted. I wanted white in my house 20years ago, today I have cream and light grey now. If your insulation is ok, most London houses need carpet to keep place warm. Or better still make sure the floor has warmth underneath or the house with be cold with tiles
