You need to get the new wire connection that are out now. It’s shrink wrapped with soldier in the middle and you just wave a heat gun over starting on the solder and it covers the wire and then the ends shrink over the rubber. Hopefully that makes sense to you because they are so easy to use and they are awesome finish.

Protip: always use waterproof shrink tube on your car boys and girls. You can recognise it from the oozing waterproofing material when heated. If you use a simple shrink tube, water will get into the joint and rot the copper. I've seen verdigris green cables under a dash where a previous sparky didn't use waterproof shrinktube.

Have fun with that ghetto connector. I used them on a set of tail lights and they tuated out and were just generally a pain in the arse. It's way more expensive (about $25 instead of $11) But you're far better off with Deutsche connectors because they are waterproof and higher quality.
