Ben, I work in custody. When will you do something about the custody staff, sgts etc.... level 4 obs, cell exits etc... obviously this isn't my real name but in custody we do have a giggle but at the same time graft. It can be very sad sometimes, intense and does affect you. It would be interesting on your take

Unfortunately in the US police planting drugs on people is absolutely a thing that happens. In Fairfax county Virginia they are looking at throwing out over 400 convictions because one officer was lying about reasons to pull people over, searching their vehicles, planting drugs, and sometimes guns, during the search, and arresting them. The extra messed up part is those 400+ arrests happened in only about 2 years, and that was just one cop.

Brilliant, that's really funny. Talking about the sniffer dogs at airports. Fella I worked with was picked out by a dog at JFK airport. We were MOD contractors and he'd been handling plastic explosive the week before. Even with gloves you end up smelling of it ( to a dog ). There were a few awkward moments with the police there, until they had confirmed his story.

They left out the best one. Peter and Joe had gotten so drunk at the bar that they end up exchanging the keys to each other’s cars. Joe is driving home in Peter’s car when Peter, driving Joe’s squad car, pulls Joe over and drunkenly walks up to Joe at the driver’s door of Peter’s car. *Peter:* “You been drinkin’ tonight, sir?” *Joe:* “Uh, no, officer, I just had a glass of dinner with my wine.” *Peter:* “OK, I’m gonna need you to step out of the car and walk a straight line, please.” ( _Joe opens the door and falls out to the ground_ ) *Peter:* “Alright, you be safe, sir, there’s a lot of crazies out there tonight.”

Whilst I was living in Australia many years ago, my brother & I had been drinking in several bats around King’s Cross, Sydney. My brothers car was an old banger. He saw a police car in a side street and we nipped around a couple of corners, got out and walked around a couple of parks as the syun came up. Eventually we headed back to the car, but we’re picked up by one of those ‘paddy-wagons with heavy locks and no arrows hard side benches. They found the car and searched it. During this search we heard them say ‘they’re obviously on drugs - put something in the car’. We were taken back to aa police station and questioned separately. The detective searched me and in a room placed some grubbyy looking needles on the table, made me roll up my sleeves and accused me of using heroin. I told him to try charging me with this. - pointed out that these must have been found in a dustbin. Eventually we were let free, and returned eventually to the car. We drove home across the harbour bridge, very tired. The laughable thing was that we were quite pissed, not drugged, the car had no silencer, and we were actually caught in the back garden of Government House! We thought we were still in the Botanical Gardens near the Opera house. It’s very funny looking back on it. There is a lot more to this story, but I will write it somewhere else. You need to know that Sydney Pollice were very corrupt in those days - look up Roger Rogerson, and Sydney Police, there is heaps of information.

Thats very interesting that the dogs in your airports are searching for drugs or money. In the US, they're primarily trained to smell gun powder, or any other sort of incendiary or explosive. Thats why I was told by a K9 cop. He also said there are four publicly available elements that are explosive. So they train the dogs to focus on those four scents. He said you could walk buy this dog with a backpack full of drugs and he wouldn't even notice, because he's been trained strictly for explosives. My brother in law works for the TSA and he said he often knows when people have weed or other drugs on them, but they're focused on doing their job. Drug searching is not at all a part of it.

No he's a British cop, that's not what they do, they arrest kids for posting rap lyrics online. And they love to arrest people for saying that there shouldn't be terrorists on British Soil. And they love to arrest people for saying that Transwomen are Men. Basically they do everything to make sure that normal people get jailtime, while letting the people who destroy the lives of others live scot free. You could run around London with a Machete if you're Middle Eastern or African, stabbing people and the Coppers would do nothing but if you stood by the sidelines they'd arrest you for even suggesting that the cops should arrest the criminal. It's ridiculous. I will never set my foot on British Soil in my entire life. Because I'd be arrested for being normal.

Especially with how The Simpsons and Family Guy portray us British and English people like with the British police officer clips e.t.c. I am from South Yorkshire myself and as much as i do love both family guy and the Simpsons, i just find it hilarious how shows like that potray us 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 , when they haven't actually got any idea of what we are actually like in real life, it's nothing like how they potray us in any way e.g. the english police officer with the big teeth and the way he talks at 3:53. However I don't take any offence or anything to it, i just find it hilarious 🤣🤣🤣.

I had a friend who in the 1970s went for a meal and rode his motorcyle home. He woke up in hospital with his arm amputated and the police accusing him a dangerous driving and saying he had ridden into an oncoming vehicle. They even went to the restaurant he ate at to try and get him for drink driving, but the owners remembered he had only drank coca cola. He remembered nothing. A year or two later he took a job as an advisor in the Jobcentre (or whatever they were called then). One day a young man walked in and asked if he was the person in the motocycle accident and when he confirmed the guy asked if he would meet him later. This young man had witnessed the accident. His motorcycle had been wiped out from behind by an off duty paralytically drunk police officer. When the police arrived the drunken officer was taken away, no questions. the police had told the witness, who had a minor criminal record, that if he said anything they'd fit him up and put him in prison. My friend was only 19 and took it no further. Sadly.

The Dukes of Hazzard movie scene where the cops plant a still in the barn then raid the farm because they can't find the real still, as funny as that is, it actually happens. A relative of mine had that happen to him. He was selling a illegal substance out of a junkyard. They couldn't catch him. They had someone sell him a junk car with illegal stuff in the truck. Within minutes of pulling the car in to the junkyard, they raided the place an went straight to that one car. He did 6 years. Never found his stuff.

One thing some police do when they really don't like a person is staple the ticket to their drivers license. How do you piss them off that much? One of my friends used to be a reserve police officer. Reserve police officers go through the police academy, but they work at the police department part time with NO PAY. They usually get the shitty shifts because they have day jobs. They cruise around the warehouse districts and the public parks to make sure nothing's going on (mostly interrupting dates or prostitutes, occasionally stopping a burglary). So my friend was on a trip out of town with his family and he got pulled over for speeding. The police officer asked for his license, so my friend pulls out his police officer id card and says, "I'm sorry man, but if you could cut me some slack..." That officer got mad. He called in my friend's license number as part of standard procedure, a lot of crooks get caught at traffic stops, outstanding warrants, and so forth. He came back to my friend's car and had stapled the ticket to my friend's drivers license. My friend kept it together and pulled back into traffic, the cop did a U-turn after following him a couple miles. My friend started getting irritated. His wife asked him, "What's wrong?" My friend said, "Now I need to get replacement license because the next time I get pulled over, the next cop will know that I received a ticket from the stapler holes and I'll never get a warning." Some time ago, my wife got a "warning" ticket from the town she was working in. The officer said, "I'm letting you go with a warning, just try not to speed. Here's a warning ticket." It's sort of like a warrant, it goes on file in that town so if you get pulled over again and the police runs your license number, a red flag goes up meaning you had been warned before, so you'll probably get a ticket this time instead of another warning. It reminds me of getting written up with a verbal warning at work. The paper literally said "Verbal Warning" on top. My manager wrote down what I did or didn't do and I had to read it and sign it and it went into my work file so if I did or didn't do whatever again, I would get a written warning, which said "Written Warning" on top. If it's a verbal warning, why is it written? :)

I love how much fun you're having, Ben. The buck teeth and how the British cop was dressed were both playing to a stereotype we Yanks have about our friends across the pond.

I don't know about police officer's giving each other breaks over traffic stops, but when my brother was working in the Canadian SIU, he was advised not to display his hat on the dashboard, as it might make the ticket worse.

many yrs ago, where I live, had a friend, just retired from US Navy as a Master Chief, got a job as local police, he wasn't a local. Kinda small town, 16,000 ppl. One day he pull over this woman, speeding, she pull the "don't you know who I am?" card, she was the police chief's wife. My buddy, "I don't care, here's your ticket" , she whines to husband, him "where you speeding?", her " yes", him, "pay the ticket", lol

2:30 that, is a grown man-child reacting to the existence of Family Guy for the first time. (And I'm not saying that in a negative way. It's incredibly genuine joy you're seeing there. And let's be honest. We're all man-childs here.)

I'm "midget" myself and I love jokes about dwarfs in Family guy! :D It's honor to be part off popular culture and sometimes these jokes are relatable and I use them then in chat conversations. :) :D PS: Ben, don't speak about people involved in criminal activity like shitbags or similar bad names. People involved in drugs are still people. My friend was involved even in dealing, now he's trying to be clean. He had shity puberty and got on street already as child. People have different reasons to get involved in drugs or other criminal things.
