May I suggest Battle Talent Demo? You can get free mods by completing the tutorial, talking to the Almighty Guardian, the jumping in to the void 7 or 8 times

The most helpful to a VR beginner is a rollercoaster game. It can get you used to the nausea of movement quickly. I don't recommend diving in to high speed, nausea inducing games as a start. It's definitely not the same as a 2D game and you will feel sick.

Happy to see HyperDash on there. It is the one VR game I have played consistently for years. It is super fast paced, and seeing yourself improve over time is very rewarding. But the best thing about it is the community (at least once you get past the lowest levels and away from the racist little kids). There are a lot of supportive players, the discord community is always willing to help, they have tournaments with friendly competition, and honestly very little drama.

I couldn't get Ornament Express to run. Didn't crash, just had no way to do anything. Couldn't get to the main menu. Amigdala only works on Rift - while in the Steam store, it doesn't support SteamVR

@@BenPlaysVR OK, I just tried Ornament express again (it's been some months since I tried it the first time) Seems it was an openXR bug that I had to work around about a month ago, I had my hands and could play this time.

I should probably expand on this, in case someone else runs into it and happens to read this comment, even if unlikely. There's currently a bug in steamvr where openxr may not see your controllers. To fix this, look in the settings for the on/off toggle for the sensor in the headset that detects when it's on your head, and disable it. That should fix it. WHY that's a problem? No idea. But it works.
