I'm glad you give the % Adobe RGB a monitor covers. Photographers who are serious about printing need to know the peercent of Adobe color space the monitor covers, not the DCI-whatchacallit, which is not the same thing. I hunt everywhere and all I find is DCI & sRGB. sRGB is the color space for the Internet. Photographers really do need to know how much of the Adobe RGB color space a monitor can display, especially if using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, or other top editors. Very few other reviewers beside you give this. Thank you.

@@Poopdeck1015 I can't tell which monitor you have a photo of. Check KZbin reviews & Google reviews. In general, a monitor needs to display 100% of the sRGB color space and 95%+ of the Adobe RGB. Also, the more tones (gray scale) it can display the better. I'm looking at the BENQ 240. It does all that at about $400. Top line photo monitors will run $1,500 or more.

BENQ has a channel, I believe. It may be a discontinued model. It's the BENQ SW240, 1o bit, 99% Adobe RGB that retails for about $400. Check B & H Photo Video, Amazon, etc. If it's available it should show up.

Hey, great insights on the EW2880U vs EW2780U comparison. I agree the EW2780U is a better alternate to the current model but sadly its not available in my country anymore. I'm a Mac user (2019, 16" inch) and have been confused between getting the PD2700U vs the this EW2880U monitor for a while now. While PD2700U is brighter and more accurate w the sRGB colour space and a better stand, the EW2880U has type-c and native m-book mode while being $50 cheaper. Also as a sidetone, I'll be getting a monitor light and an arm to complete my setup, would it make any difference to the lower peak brightness for the EW2880U. It would be really helpful if you can help me make a purchase decision. Thanks a ton :)

Forgot to ask, would the EW2880U support 10 bit (8 bit + FRC) over the included type c cable along w my MacBook and is there any difference between the 10 bit PD series offers over the EW? Thank you so much

@@droovdarshan not sure what to really say buddy, as you've pretty much described it. Up to you as to what you're looking for - colour accuracy or connectivity. As for the colours, think the PD is a native 10-bit channel, but can't recall from memory - best checking

Thank you for this detailed review. I'm considering this monitor vs. the Lenovo Thinkvision P27h-20. My use-case is for my WFH office setup. Would a 28" 4K be better for text, browsing vs a 2K resolution? Please let me know. Would want USB-C for connectivity.

I think BenQ have really very underrated monitors. I wanted to but the DELL IPS 24-27 monitors and these here are very pricey, those one with speakers are very high priced. But BenQ with speakers, IPS and same specs monitor was significantly low priced compared to DELL. LG are the usual supplier of LCD panel to DELL, perhaps they also provide same panels to Benq. Great value compared to most of the DELL.
