I would say 7, macbook has retina display this doesn’t but colour accuracy is good for the price. You can see the pixels but I think for the after 1-2 hours it would not even matter. You would understand how much relaxing it is to work on a big screen.

the monitor is v bad. the eye strain it gave me from using it for 30 mins made me return it. even at 0 brightness and ePaper mode the eye strain was so bad my eyes got watery. the hdmi cable is also not that good.

dell monitors are expensive but they provide 5 years of premium warranty and they claim that if you got a single dead pixel we will going to replace the monitor or panel in 2-3 days. Note: if you buy from their exclusive website then you will get 5 years of warranty. cons with dell even if you are paying 10k for dell s2421hn its only comes with 75hz refresh rate that too bad for the price we are paying but after sales service is very good. and Benq after sales service is not that good lots of customers facing issue in their unit and the problem is that benq took so long time for the engineer visit, replacement. only one service centre in delhi with average reviews of 3 stars.

See I haven't used the speakers in particular. But you would need to connect an external speaker for better audio. What I would suggest is test it out and if you don't find it the sound good enough just connect external speakers.

Dont Buy BenQ GW2490 🥵waste of money dont take it give lot of troubles(after 4days use only....yellow shadeon righside of monitor) service engineer come after 10day of service call log and he said this problem i report in job sheet but .no support benq im faceing replacement problem since june month till now no solution they asky silly qustions like {what is ur purpose ot this monitor} and deny replace ment you have call daily for your update

@@eklavyaverma3319 ihave got replacement after 60days ...🥱they try to escape to replace and search for reasons to blame customer ... they give fast support above 25k+ products.. they dont care about this type entry level product (cheap chinees manufacturer rebrand ) ... if you have patience to wrote 50+ mails + calls and youhave to deal with unsupportive and no technical knowledge person Service Manager for Benq india .. he dont give even 20 sec to explanin your problem and that number allways busy whole day.. they dont even call back you 🥵 to brand support and their mediocre😵 service vendor F1/Jeeves youcan go with this and purchace online is curse now if youget any defect in even transport any defect only 7daysservice center replacement only...finally rise your budget and go with other brands or even take used one is best .. compare this brand... 😏 Final word global Brand with Road side vendor Mentality (service department) once i sold and escape..

This is a FHD monitor and does not have bleeding issues. Generally bleeding issue happens in 2k or 4K more. But yeah if you really care about picture quality go for a higher resolution.

buy GW2480 INSTEAD, the older version of GW2490. I am using it for the past 2 years. Everything is the same except for the refresh rate from 60hz to 100hz, less power consumption, future-proof, more software support, and better speakers. if I were you, I would have purchased the newer model and got myself a VGA to HDMI port.

i am also searching monitor for my m1 air. similarly to you i am jumping between that 25K qt and this 1080 base models of BenQ. i literally convinced by 2k qt monitor because it has pivot mode for coders like me. but i read in some review that with the type C connection it charge the macbook but it also damage the type c port if we use it as power delivery. Hence i am skipping it. But now i am struggling between 24 and 27 inch base models. i am qurious to know why you had not gone for 27 inch because it just 11K. is there any trade off for that.

See if you are buying a FHD monitor go for 24inch because 27inch would more pixelated display. And especially for MacBooks 24inch FHD monitors give better ppi compared to 27inch

I'm planning to buy this monitor and i think 24 inch 1080p is perfect for my requirements which wouldn't look as blurry as the 27 inch model with mac. Do the eye care features like blue light stuff gets disabled while using mbook mode? And what usb hub are you using. As a full stack developer i need a usb hub that can withstand 8 hours of workflows per day with this external monitor connected. Also wonder if you've ever faced battery drain issue with external monitor (without clamshell mode)

@@md_musharaf I'd say it's one of the best monitor for mac users and even for the non mac user due to it's built in auto brightness sensor and certified eye care panel. As someone who sits infront of his computer for long hours I've definitely noticed less eye strain issue in this monitor.
