For anyone wondering: I get 2 minute exposures at 135mm. I wish they would add a 2 or even 3 star alignment, it would make tracking a lot more accurate for longer focal lengths (200-300mm) But it's software, so there is a chance

@@alejandroromo6577 I tried some 300mm exposures and everything over 30ish seconds is "usable" at best. The problem is the 1 star alignment, it's just not accurate enough.

I've had my Polaris since last December. Will you be producing DETAILED videos for each function that Polaris offers? Since there is no written detailed user guide, videos would be nice.

Hi Terry, we will share this feedback with the team. As of now, there are no plans to create videos for each function.

@@BenroUSA What about a written manual going over each function? It’s ridiculous to not have a manual when the product has been in some backers’ hands for almost a year now. Even my Canon mirrorless cameras have detailed manuals I can download.

Has the app being updated with the deep sky objects at this moment? Has been a firmware update done to notify when the object is at zenith and cannot be tracked so you get options on what to do?? Thank you for your information!

Great question! Most deep sky objects are in the search option. The brightest object are shown on the star selection page, but everything else is searchable by name or Messier number.

What settings are needed on a Nikon Z8 to allow it to communicate with the app so the app can control the camera? Thanks!

The Nikon Z8 needs to be connected using the cable included with the Z8 and an OTG cable. The cable that comes with Polaris does not support Z8. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Yes. Polaris generates its own Wi-Fi network and computes tracking algorithms off of a stored star database.

Hi, I have a Pentax K3 and I want to buy the Benro Polaris, but the Benro website reports that everything is compatible except live view. Is it because the k3 does not have wifi?​ How does the polaris live view connect to the pentax k3, by cable or by wifi? Without the live view towards the mobile, is it also possible to make trackers, panoramic views, star alignment, tracking? What could be done with my Pentax K3 and Polaris without live view? how i see the menu pano, astro, that i can see in the mobile? thx.

Is network connection required to track? I often hike into the wilderness for astro where theres no phone network connection.

Yes, if you are using the companion app to track, it will require a network connection.

The SIM card slot is not active and the SKU is not currently being sold in the US.

I have Nikon Z5. It doesn't seems to have PC remote. It has WiFi and Bluetooth. Is there a way to connect to it using WiFi? I couldn't find such an option. How can I connect my Nikon Z5?

You need to use either the included USB-C to USB-C cable, or the included OTG cable and your original Nikon USB-C to USB-A cable.

At this price tag not being able to track straight up 90 degrees at the zenith due to its mechanical limitation it's a shame. Most of my astro tracking it's at the zenith because of the lowest light pollution.

It is not - an SD card is. The SD card acts as a buffer for capturing and storing photos as well as runs internal programs.
