I won't diss AI. Maybe not always the winner, but have gone far in their careers...Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson. First winner Kelly Clarkson has done fantastic. It opens doors for many that maybe don't have much of an intro avenue otherwise. A lot depends on their personal drive after the show.

It all depends on their talents and also who they are represented by too ... Kelly is amazing and one the best and sweetest artists that didn't let fame or money change her because many people do change and not for the better... I always like Carrie also but country isn't for me ... Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson and and Adam Lambert are also examples of great artists
