Bent a bar and broke some mounting bolts! Bell Feller Buncher

I will take a picture tomorrow of my Bell saw head. I fabricated a bar adjustment like a chainsaw. Welded threaded rod to the bar clamp and a piece of steel to the turntable end. Works much better . No more prying the bar!

Hello Gabe. I've broken a few bolts before. I do believe we we are going to switch to the 3/4 set up when we start this fall, hopefully not too much longer. Farmers are shelling corn now here. Soon as we can get across the fields Eli got plenty to cut with the bell. If you get a chance when next time you're double cutting make a video or two. Be appreciated. That's what he has to learn. If they need 3 cuts we will keep using chainsaw. Stay safe 👍

When that happens to on my bell I take a pit apart and use a small hammer and a punch that has worked good for me and have used my pocket knife to get it started

Is the transmission set up on Ultra T and C the same as a Wolverine? I mean zero effort and the pedals return to neutral by themselves. I have a couple Super T's and a Wolverine but have never run an Ultra T or C.

Yes that’s how it is on the ultra models I can’t remember the term used, but yeah there’s not feed back on the pedals and no pedal lock like the super t

Not sure if it will help you on your setup but I grind screwdriver slots in the tip of my bolts where they stick through the block. Also I am thinking about building a machine that will take the twist out of bars among other things, sort of like the bar tender 2.0. I will let you know when I do and you can send me any bars you want reconditioned if you want to. I'm gonna try to repair rails and everything. I'm in NC near Boone and the closest guy that does this I know of is in Canada and he stays covered up.

That’s a good idea to cut some slots for a screw driver. I’m going have to try that. And yea I want to build a bar twister too but if you get one going let me know because I can’t hardly fix a twisted bar.
