Why would you use windshield urethane for installing aluminum hood panels, that is what panel bond if for.

There's really nothing tougher than windshield urethane for holding things like this together. it was a solid choice that I won't have to revisit. I'd call it a win

Fascinating. What brand / model huck gun do you use ?
@teams.t.e.a.m62146 ай бұрын
I have 2 of them. The one in this video is a R.A.T brand. My other one is an original heavy duty Huck brand that I recently found freshly rebuilt on Ebay. Always good to have a back up. I found the R.A.T gun on Amazon...which is also where I get all of my rivets from. Thanks!

Hello! 😊If someone will need almost same kind of job, would you do this and if so, what do you think labor could cost?
@teams.t.e.a.m62142 ай бұрын
We Would basically always be willing to do jobs like these. This one was around $2,500 in huck rivets , labor, and paint if I remember correctly.

@@teams.t.e.a.m6214 sounds fair according to amount of job and parts prices! Sir, I’ve checked others restorations, you doing really good job! If we speaking about prices though, maybe you can tell how much would cost to paint whole truck like you usually do with damages fix etc. I’ve got 379 long hood long frame, and my hood damaged almost same as shown in that video I want to do this job closer to winter

All in all... they are an irresponsible and greedy company. I've seen so many sub par Paccar parts throughout the decades. They have developed and signed off on certain lousy designs that they went ahead and ran anyway for years and years...knowing the entire time that they were flimsy and worthless...but also knowing that they can sell more of their garbage and overpriced parts that way as well.

@@teams.t.e.a.m6214you can apply that to paint and everything else unfortunately.
