Having just returned from a ski trip, where I both saw a lot of SUV's (both high and lower priced) and was remembered about the benefits of a car like that from a practical standpoint, the Bentayga has grown on me significantly. Seeing the car in this beautiful red color doesn't hurt either. I'm not sure if I would buy it if I was a millionaire, but I've grown to like it a lot more than when I first saw it in the brownish color.

What a Beautiful SUV, all the traditional Bentley hallmarks with that stunning interior and a truly amazing 4x4 capability . Excellent design, no wonder it is selling faster than any other Bentley with a waiting list of over a year. That's how you know you've done a first class job.

Exactly, what makes a range rover or a g wagon look good is because it was designed to be an SUV in the first place, the jag pulled it off because, well it's jag design but the bentleys lines weren't supposed to be on an SUV. Such as the curve at the back, the curved lights, the stupid grille, nothing works.

What rock have the people that are against a Bentley SUV living under? All this talk of "purity", they make 5000+ lb cars, they're practically SUVs already. Bentley makes luxury barges, no segment in the industry is more well suited to an SUV. The fact that they waited this long is mind blowing.

+Petar Denchev Thats your personal opinion. People who can afford this seem to have a different oppinions. Otherwise they would not be sold out for next years and would not need to extend their capacity to produce more. I personal like it too (in person more than in the video or picture). It looks like a Bentley SUV should. Fits to the Design, has handrcafted interieur, the finishing is great and it has Torque. I personal dont like SUVs at all, but if i would need to choose and money doesnt matter, i would take it in my Top3. Other would be a Lexus and Mercedes. The Volvo with the small engine is maybe ECO nice, but not mine. Lexus has a better Hybrid anyway, Tesla X is ugly and i guess as crapy build like the S. BMW has nice tech and power, but as SUV not mine. Porsche i like only the smaler Macan. Range Rover is nice, but Engines are quite old right now (the V8 supercharger) and you can see them to often. Electronic also not so reliable. For offroad only a Toyota Land Cruiser or G 4x4².

And it's a success. They got full orders for more than 2 years. So now they has to work with extra shifts to build more cars. They had hoped for 3200 cars the first year but now they have over 6000 orders in the first few months.

Why??? Because he actually likes the vehicle??? You think it's ugly.... That's fine. You have never driven one though, neither have I. I have been lucky enough to drive some very expensive cars though. I guarantee that if you drove this car, your mind would be blown. It would be so insanely comfortable and mind bendingly fast that you would fall in love with it. High end cars now are so fucking good that they are basically impossible not to like!!! Even then though, I'm sure if you drove one, you would still pretend it's shit and hate on it because you can't have an open mind to something. Plus you will never be able to afford one. So like most people, you would rather tell yourself it's absolute shit and that you would never want one, rather than admitting it's amazing but you are not amazing enough to afford one some day. I see it ALL THE TIME with car "enthusiasts." It's a safety mechanism to protect their ego.

I'm late to the party, but this has to be one of the best reviews. Not of the car, just the presenter and his take on the car. Completely fair, and more importantly, actually worried about the car he's been given the privilege of driving! If this was the three numpties of Clarkson, May and Hammond they'd have handed a bunch of scrap back to Bentley (and whoever they borrowed two more SUVs off) and wondered why they weren't getting another to ruin?

get over it. This is a very desirable SUV. And as a person that hates SUV's I am really going against my usual attitude. I can see this 4X4 cruising down the beach at Stradbroke Island in QLD Australia and causing quite a stir. For the ultimate "thumb your nose" this is the drive! Bently has regained a lot of respect in Australia after the companies participation in the Bathurst 12 hour at Mt Panorama. When you hear these cars with the special exhaust for the race, you know that with a little work your Bentley can sound the same too....

They might not share anything, but all I see or think about when looking at this thing is the Audi Q7. That aside, I'm sure Bentley will sell every one they build and still have a waiting list. I don't see a problem with them building it. The only question is, what took them so long? I'm sure Rolls Royce will be following suit soon enough. No doubt this thing will take a bite out of Land Rover sales. No, they won't be in the same price bracket, but the only reason the uber rich have been buying Range Rovers is because they didn't have a more expensive or exclusive alternative. This will give them the alternative.

Building an SUV was a much bigger step for Porsche, and it didnt make their sports cars any less desirable. Bentley on the other hand has never produced anything else than extremely heavy, powerful and luxurious car. The Betayga is just another one, why should it take away anything from the brand?
